Jake Gyllenhaal and his onscreen policing partner, Michael Pena, got into character yesterday on the LA set of their law enforcement drama End of Watch. Michael and Jake have been working out together getting in shape for their grueling work as officers and Jake even shaved his head for the role. Jake's enjoyed a pretty relaxing Summer and recently returned from a trip to Hawaii where his dad, Stephen Gyllenhaal, married Kathleen Man in a romantic beachside ceremony. Jake G also hit the waves shirtless showing off the fruits of all his hard workouts, which will also serve him well in our annual beach body bracket that kicks off next week. Michael, on the other hand, has been slammed with projects. His latest movie, 30 Minutes or Less, opens August 12 and last week we saw the first trailer of his Fall comedy with Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller, Tower Heist. Michael's found a niche in crime capers and up next he's signed on to star opposite Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Sean Penn in The Gangster Squad.
