It's pretty clear that Lynne Spears is not a mom we'd take advice from. As if Jamie Lynn's shocking pregnancy wasn't already sad enough, Life & Style is reporting that that she and the baby's father Casey Aldridge aren't even seeing each other anymore.
Apparently the couple has broken up a few times in the past, and they have no plans to get married. According to Jamie Lynn's interview in OK! Casey has been supportive even though they had not planned this and were both shocked by the news themselves.
Jamie Lynn also discussed her desires to learn the sex of the baby, morning sickness and her hopes for a healthy baby. To read more quotes just read more
Here are some highlights from CBB:
On the sex of the baby:
I want to find out as soon as I can because I'm impatient. I just want a healthy, happy baby, so the whether it's a boy or a girl really doesn't matter.
On names:
I haven't thought about baby names yet. I would have to hear some options!
On morning sickness:
I definitely had sickness, but it's getting better. It was at its worst a few weeks ago.
On believing she'll be a good mom:
I love babies, and I have my nephews that I love. I have a great mom and she has raised three kids, so if I take lessons from her, I think I'll be great. All my friends have little brothers or sisters.
On Casey as a father:
He has always been good with babies. He's like a big teddy bear, especially around babies, so I know he'll make a good dad.
Her hopes for 2008:
Just to have a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy and for everything to fall in place and to become a stronger person from here.
Advice from Lynne:
To be strong.
"I have a great mom and she has raised three kids, so if I take lessons from her, I think I'll be great."
HA!!!
And single already?? What do I expect?
1"I love babies, and I have my nephews that I love."
Yea, and how much time does she spend with them?
I can't help but cringe when I read her quotes. She seems as detached from reality as her sister.
2this is acceptable apparently . . .
3He looks like such a douche! Not a good way to try to keep a man Jaime ...when will girls/women ever learn this? Dumb ass. She's only 16 they better not be getting married! Poor delusional child.
4Sorry but this pic and the others I've seen of these two are making me so mad. That's the problem with these little girls thinking they are so damn grown. They have stupid parents like Lynne who let then date at freaking 13 yrs old. Most the pics I've seen they are all hugged up and close holding hands...just too damn grown for their own good. What happened to the days of not dating or wearing makeup until 16 and we wonder why these little girls are such irresponsible fast asses.
5oh lord this is just screaming of an after school special: im gonna have a baby and im gonna love him and he is going to love me and its going to be so wonderful. yay!!!!
6I'm not even making sense this bothers me soooo much...
7This is just getting BETTER and BETTER...
I watched Chelsea Lately and someone said "You can take the trash out of the trailer, but you can't take the trailer out of the trash..." Probably a good sentiment on this matter.
I think they should suspend her tv show too, I don't agree with teen idols (role models for children/teenager) glamorizing teen pregnancy.
I really hate the idea of her getting pregnant has just inspired lots of young girls to think it's FINE and dandy to do so because they feel 'mature enough.'
8Well, ordinary young girls should remember that they DON'T have 1 million deal with OK! Magazine to be put in that baby's trust fund. The only 'good' thing I can say is that at least she's not going to be on welfare, etc etc. At least she's got money.
HotStuff, I agree with you but on the other hand, I just remembered that a good third of my middle school (and most of my friends) had bf/gf from 12 and the girls started wearing makeup a few years earlier. None of them got pregnant at 16 though, maybe they were a bit more mature from growing up in a normal world instead of crazy Hollywood.
Not to say that JL is immature, she just sounds her age.
Good for her if she decides to keep the baby and acts in consequence and takes it as a serious responsibility (which it is), seeing her (rather her mom)advertising a teen pregnancy is a bit wrong on a lot of levels. While pregnant teens happen for a lot of reasons and doesn't necessarily mean the parents are irresponsible or the baby isn't gonna have a good life, JL has a privileged situation. I'm not sure kids who'll read these articles will think of that, instead of focusing on how great expecting a baby sounds like.
In any case, that story's really sick!
9nevaeh1978, looks like we typed almost the same thing at the same time!
10Yet another *cough cough* revelation from the Spears camp
11Advah having a boyfriend at 12 and wearing makeup before that just blows my mind. Its not necessary and what the hell do these parents expect their kids to be doing by 16 if they been dating since 12?
12"All my friends have little brothers or sisters" WTF!? So that's comparable to parenthood?
She sounds like a little girl who wants to play house!
13I totally agree with you Hotstuff, and my parents probably would have had a stroke if I'd started doing the same thing!
I just meant to say that even if these girls were acting like that when they were this young, it sounds they were responsible enough not to get pregnant *rolleyes* (although that kind of things happens even w/ condoms or birth control).
I also totally agree that it's not necessary, at that age I was more interested in climbing in trees than wearing makeup and hitting on guys haha!
14Yeah I've never gotten the whole 12 yr olds wearing make-up thing. I know it's what's happening now and all but still if I were a mom, there's no way my daughter would go out looking like she's 6 years older than what she is!
15so she's pregnant, huh? well, I hope she'll be better than Brit
16she seems to be wrapped up in the cute sleeping baby fantasy at the moment, but i dont think this will particularly encourage young girls to go out and get knocked up, we should give normal girls more credit. JL has grown up in a crazy, hollywood bubble, were people cater to your every need and you are never wrong, maybe thats why she doesnt seem to appriciate the seriousness of the situation.
17of course he would break up with her sooner or later.
18Her mother will have custody until Jaime Lynn turns 18, right?
19OMG I feel bad for her, the only "parenting" she's seen lately is from KEVIN FEDERLINE and Brit's nanny. Isn't that scary? And she doesn't have Brit's $$ to have a nanny
20This is getting worse and worse everyday...!!!!!!
21This little girl of 16 speaks about having a baby like having a new puppy!!! No dad? No prob! Good advices from her?? Wow, great idea!!
Good Lord...
"All my friends have little brothers or sisters."
Yeah, because that's the same?
Please, someone in her camp other than her mother, tell her to never again make any more public statements!
22"He's like a big teddy bear, especially around babies, so I know he'll make a good dad."
Yea, that's all it takes to be a good dad. Be fun and huggable. That whole education and get a job to provide for your family thing isn't nearly as important as being a big ol' teddy bear.
I can see why her mom freaked out at the news. This girl is literally still a little girl, mentally at least.
23What did she expect? he was gonna stick around?.
24so if I take lessons from her, I think I'll be great....if great is raising trainwrecks then sure look to your mom.
25Sucks for her.
I really do feel sorry for her but at the same time she put herself in this position. One thing is for sure, it is not gonna take much effort to be a better mom than her sis is.
26Britney must be pissed off. I've read more quotes from Jamie Lynn in the last couple of days than I have in my life before that. Jamiie Lynn really stole the attention off Britney(and that is a difficult thing to do!)
27i dont think you can call jamie lynn a train reck, we have sex, but because people get pregnant, then they get called names and bad people, what about the fathers? i think its so hypocritical, mistakes happen, no contraception is 100%. i think its really sad, because she wont be able to have a free young life but if shes happy and will do a good job is'nt that what matters?
28whatever. the Spears family is deranged.
29hope she has a safe pregnancy
3019 year old (major) has sex with 16 year old (minor)
31Isn't this a crime?
Not when Lynne is the approving mom. I may be wrong but you can get married at even younger ages wih parental consent in most states.
32I laughed at the quote about JL taking lessons from her Mom.
And why isn't the Dad getting more heat about this? It takes two to tango.
33very interesting.......hope things turn out well for her
34This is very disturbing and why would they do an interview with the tabloids like her actions are OKAY! I am scared for those girls who look up to her and think being 16 and pregnant is cool! She's got plenty of money to take care of this baby, or to hire someone to take care of it. Other girls her age most likely do not... I wish they would stop airing this story like it's some sort of accomplishment for her to be 16 and pregnant...
35I wonder if she considered having an abortion but didn't realize she was pregnant until it was too late. Sixteen-year-olds can be really stupid. Note to Jamie - LIKING children is not the same thing as being a good father. I bet he bales on her before the kid arrives. Who is this 19-year-old, by the way? Is he on her show? And how come he's not in jail?
36This was going to happen sooner or later... weren't these two living together?
37Has anybody asked why the Spears girls seem to be attracted to no-name losers?
38Taking parenting advice from Lynn, is like asking Jim Jones the best punch to bring to a party.
39The things she's saying makes one feel sorry for her... She seriously doesn't realize how hard it is to be a parent. Babies having babies. However, I guess it's a good thing she didn't get an abortion and is taking responsibility for her actions.
40Little girls look up to her. Her show Zoey 101 should be cancelled immediately before any girls think it is fun or acceptable to have a baby at 16. Plus my little niece asked my brother yesterday where babies come from because she heard Jaime Lynn is pregnant. Good god!
41What the hell? Did everyone decide to get knocked up when I wasn't looking?
42Sure sounds like statutory rape to me.
43Sure sounds like statutory rape to me.
44What the heck is happening with the "youth of Hollywood"? Doesn't anyone want to ENJOY their childhood and youth? Apparently not because most of these young celebrities just want to drink, do drugs, get pregnant at a young age AND act like there is nothing wrong with it - including their parents!
I actually thought Britney's little sister was going to be the only level-headed one in the family. It's a disgrace really. I bet the next one on the list will be Lindsay Lohan's little sister, just you watch.
45they were dating ever since she was 13 and he was 16, so at this point, it cannot be catalogued as rape
46I am not going to let me daughter watch her show anymore. This is not the kind of girl I want her looking up to. I know good girls can get pregnant young also, but this family just seems like they have their priorities all messed up.
47It will be interesting to see how she handles this. It seems like she's being as mature as possible in her situation, but she is only 16! She's still trying to figure out who she is and now a baby will be thrown in to the mix. She does seem to love her nephews; I know she sees them when they are with Kevin. But loving a child does not necessarily mean you will be able to properly care for it!
48I'm 27, married and not yet a parent and I cringe reading about this little baby (Jamie Lynn) giving people any advice or tips on being a mom in the near future....at 16, I didn't know **** about life, although I thought I did....and I wasn't a virgin back then either BUT I was terrified of getting pregnant so I made sure to use protection.....wtf is she going raw? I can't stand this family
49It just makes me wonder if the Spears family ever heard of condoms or birth control
