Michelle Williams and Jason Segel have reportedly broken up, but she isn't slowing down work-wise. In this POPSUGAR Rush, we're looking back at Michelle and Jason's romance and recapping top headlines including plans for a new Titanic ship and Prince Harry's getaway to Africa with girlfriend Cressida Bonas.
Michelle Williams and Jason Segel have split, according to a new report in Us Weekly. They got together just over a year ago following an introduction from their mutual friend Busy Philipps. When Jason wasn't in LA, he spent a great deal of time in NYC with Michelle and her daughter Matilda.
In March's InStyle, Michelle touched on her life with Jason. She said, "He is nice . . . I didn't actually realize who he was before I started dating him. I mean, I saw the Muppets movie, and I thought, 'Oh, that's cute,' but the truth is I didn't realize he made a lot of very popular, funny movies or was on a TV show. But maybe more important, I didn't realize he was so tall. I thought, 'Hey, man, you're cramping my style!' I tried wearing wedge heels for a while to compensate, but it wasn't me and I just gave up."
Michelle and Jason were snapped on a Mexican vacation along with Busy back in January, though he did not accompany her to any of her recent press engagements for her upcoming movie Oz the Great and Powerful.
Michelle Williams got in some bikini time with her pregnant friend Busy Philipps when they hit up Cancun, Mexico, with Jason Segel on Wednesday. Michelle wore a black two-piece but covered up with a denim shirt, a panama hat, and black Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Meanwhile, Busy — who costarred with Jason on Freaks and Geeks — soaked up some rays while wearing a red bikini. The friends reportedly landed in Cancun after Christmas and spent New Year's south of the border. Unfortunately for Busy, the trip wasn't as relaxing as it looked, since she suffered food poisoning during New Year's Eve. Busy tweeted, "Since the early hours of my 2013 were spent violently puking from food poisoning, there's no where to go but up." Illness aside, Busy was back to work today to promote the Tuesday premiere of Cougar Town at the TCAs in LA.

This Is 40, Judd Apatow's latest directorial effort, warns audiences about the dangers of blinking, meaning if you close your eyes you risk waking up decades later, wondering how you got to be so darn old. In a more literal sense, I did blink while watching the film. In fact, I full-on closed my eyes at the sight of Paul Rudd spread eagle with nothing but a strategically place hand mirror covering his man parts; I cringed while Pete (Rudd) and his wife, Debbie (Leslie Mann), screamed at each other for the umpteenth time; I yawned, I scoffed, but as with most of Apatow's projects, I also laughed and related to the conflicted characters.
This movie is billed as the "sort-of sequel" to Knocked Up, but it's more like a spin-off, centering completely on Pete and Debbie's clan five years later. The kids (played by Apatow and Mann's real-life children, Maude and Iris Apatow), are growing up and acting out — if watching unhealthy amounts of Lost qualifies as acting out — and the whole family is hitting a palpable rough patch. The film's unflinching honesty about shifting family dynamics is one of its strengths, but it's also undoubtedly uncomfortable to watch as resentment curdles and touches every aspect of the characters' lives. To find out what else I thought, just keep reading.
Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, and Megan Fox celebrated the premiere of their new movie, This Is 40, in LA last night. Megan, wearing Roland Mouret, and Paul were joined by their costar Leslie, in a Vionnet dress, and her family. Leslie's husband, Judd Apatow, directed the film, and their two daughters, Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, play Leslie and Paul's children in the movie, which is loosely billed as a sequel to 2007's Knocked Up. Jason Segel, who is also in the film, attended the premiere but without girlfriend Michelle Williams by his side. Lena Dunham dropped by the event to show some support for Judd, an executive producer on her show, Girls. Lena was spotted goofing around with friend Aubrey Plaza on the red carpet.
This has been a busy few months for Megan since she gave birth to her first child, Noah, on Sept. 27. Megan said that becoming a mom has changed her attitude towards her work. According to Megan, "It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby."
Jason Segel, Michelle Williams, and Matilda Ledger made a trip to the Bronx Zoo in NYC yesterday. Michelle and Matilda held hands while Jason stayed close. They're reunited on the East Coast after spending time in LA together last week. On Wednesday, Michelle and Matilda touched down at JFK after their stay in LA, where Jason is filming How I Met Your Mother. Jason made the trek afterward solo. Michelle, Jason, and Matilda had many fun outings together while on the West Coast, and the couple even got to sneak in adults-only dates.
Michelle Williams and Jason Segel treated Matilda Ledger to ice cream in LA yesterday afternoon. The trio are getting used to being together on the West Coast, having traveled there from NYC a month ago. Jason's in Hollywood working on the upcoming season of How I Met Your Mother, and Michelle's figuring out what her own next project will be. Jason's return to the set offered him a chance to reunite with his small-screen costars Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, and Alyson Hannigan. All five HIMYM stars spent their Summers focusing on different endeavors. Josh supported his directorial project Liberal Arts, Cobie logged time on the set of Safe Haven, NPH went to France for a family vacation on Elton John's yacht, and Alyson adjusted to life with her new baby girl, Keeva. The gang welcomed a newbie to their midst, though, when Olympic medalist McKayla Maroney visited recently.
