Jennifer Aniston turned heads in her white dress today on the NYC set of The Bounty, and she's also attracting attention with her new Elle interview, in which she admits to having no problem being the poster "lonely girl." Her recent film choices reflect that sentiment — movies like The Baster and Pumas appear to celebrate the choices of single women. While it's great to see Jen embracing her critics, it also can seem like she's asking for all the attention on her love life. So, tell us — do you think her honesty is refreshing or irritating?

woww. some of these people think they know jennifer and angelina. its pretty sad. i dont like angelina. i find her weird, scary, and not a good actress. i like jennifer because she seems more down to earth. people fucked with her and she is not bitter about it. she's just searching to find someone who will treat her well. and the press brings up brad and angelina. not her. so cut her some slack for god sakes.

you know what's irritating? it's the writers/interviewers of these articles who are irritating because they ask the same goddamn questions and they cannot come up with anything else interesting to ask because that's what the public wants. YES THE PUBLIC, ME AND YOU. no one will ever know a person 100% especially when she's someone you don't even know and you see from afar. so judge all you want. and i've read other articles where they've taken old quotes and reprinted them, the media does what it does best, manipulates.

She says she is happy with her life one minute and then is happy to be a poster girl for lonely women the next." ----- based on the comments above, I feel there's a reading comprehension issue here/ or ppl blinded by their bias that they'll twist her words to make it fit their convictions of her. She's essentially saying - "you want to call me lonely, fine go ahead, if you want to label me all this crap, go ahead. clearly the media isn't interested in my truth [i'm happy and lucky like i've said a million times], so go ahead and sell your crap. label me. BUT i'm just letting you know that there's nothing wrong with this label or those individuals who hit that period in their lives and trying to figure out the next step. so if you're gonna label me that as a DIG at me - i'm gonna let the rest of the world know that it is not a dig. it's part of life's journey. she gets asked these questions over and over again - do you want her to invent another answer? the deficiency is not in her answers but in the questions itself. AND give me a break - her career was never built on a "woe is me" label - a major portion of her career (which spanned 10 yrs!) was rooted in FRIENDS and other blockbuster movies, where she definitely didn't have this whole "woe is me" label garbage unceremoniously bestowed upon her by the media. And FRIENDS was huge worldwide. BESIDES - this is not the whole interview! i bet none of the complainers have ever read her complete interviews - EVER. you'll realize she talks about a lot of other things. you go jen. you tell them you're unhappy if you're unhappy. you tell them you're happy and good if you are happy and good. you tell them you're somewhere in the middle if that's where you are. lie if you have to because at the end of the day - the media makes it up either way, and in all honesty, it's REALLY none of our business. we're not entitled to her personal life. she has to play the HW game just like the rest of them. she one of the few HW celebs who tries to avoid most of it by not giving random interviews for no reason. she just had the misfortune of being sucked into the vortex of the brangelina pap+gossip circus in which the 'sainted' couple happily play along. Aniston is a media hermit compared to the media antics these two willingly participate in. the most pathetic part is the haters- they use lame phrases such as "NEVER says she's happy" - really? she's said it - plenty of times. on NATIONAL TV no less. so save us your diatribes - it rings hollow with all it's ridiculous bias, hyperbole, and falseness. wow this was long. apologies.

Eh, after seeing Jennifer Anniston in some interviews I think she's sort of typical for Hollywood. She's cute but I never saw what the big deal was with her. She can only do light comedy well. Did you see that bomb of a movie with Clive Owen? Yikes. I do give Brad some credit for leaving that life and going with Angelina. Just as a fan and seeing some interviews I think she's more interesting as a person, and has ten times more depth as an actress too. Sorry Jen, but it's true, gulp! Who knows. I suppose this triangle could be a big publicity stunt. If it's not then I find it hard to feel sorry for Jen. C'mon now. If I was born looking like her I would thank God for each sunrise and move on with the stupid drama. Anyway wasn't she seen with Ralph Fiennes lately?

"This is waaay better than selling your kids pictures or talking about your family in every interview." Actually her BFF Courtney was the first of their group to sell a picture of her child for charity to attempt to get the paps off their back. She gave Brad the idea. And if Jen had a relationship that produced children.. of course she would talk about them in interviews and I would bet there would be pictures. Just crop Norman out of photos and insert her future children. And yes..Jen perpetuates the image of the lonely girl. She has had 4 relationships in 4 years (which is not bad for a single girl)...but always with someone who drips with non committment. Continuously picks movie roles that portray somwhat spacy nuerotic single woman trying to find or keep Mr. Right. So she does have a hand in it. And I find it funny she quoted something her mother said to her when she was young and said that is the best compliment.. since a few years ago she claimed those statements were so hurtful she decided to cut her mother out of her life for over 10 years.. 20 plus years of therapy might finally be doing Jen some good.

I personally believe there is nothing this woman can do that won't be misconstrued by some to serve their own preconceived notions of her. For some reason she has garnered that level of fame that few others have. I think she is talented and gorgeous for sure, but so are a lot of other actors/actresses. From the time her Rachel hair cut set off copycats the world over, she has attracted a level of fascination on her and her love life that few others face. People like to think she is "only famous because of her ex," but the truth is she was getting her own magazine covers and the most attention out of the Friends six long before Brad came into the picture. Personally I think a lot of this has to do with the fact she has always been down to earth and honest in interviews and this coupled with her girl-next-door vibe and the character she played for 10 years that people feel they know her and therefore for the most part want to see her happy and doing well. In our society unfortunately for a woman that still translates into having a partner, kids, etc. So for Jen, a lot of the attention thrown at her (because it sells magazines and makes others profit), surrounds her relationships, single status, etc. She is in a no win position as like many she is living her life, happy and healthy, and enjoying herself. However, this does not mean she wouldn't also like to be in a committed relationship and have her own family to share this life with. These two ideas are not mutually exclusive. You can be happy with where you are, but still striving for something more. She has been consistent and honest in admitting to both of these things, but somehow the media/public twists her words to paint her how they desire. This pole itself is an example. Pop is taking an excerpt released from a full interview, taken out of context, where Jen is clearly responding to a question about her single status, and somehow questioning whether this correlates to her drawing attention to her love life. Why - because it gets hits and attracts attention like few other people posted about would. As for Jen's statements, it seems most people are missing the boat entirely - she is clearly being tongue and cheek and not saying, "I embrace being the poster child for lonely woman," but rather, "if this is what the lonely girl looks like, so be it (as in: I'm hot, successful, rich, etc. so if you think that's lonely go on believing that!).

Why are some people feeling they have a right to launch a coallition to call out another blogger for expressing her equal right to write her own feelings ? This is an open forum, not a trial against a single poster to dissect her motivations because she dares expressing a different opinion to not so innocent people who unite themselves in a despicable and coward fest against her. Love Angelina has the right to express her opinion without being hounded, harrassed or called out by some people who often are the ones who are the first to dish it out somewhere else but can't take it in here when their Virginal Aniston is the one who is criticized for her fraudulent and hypocrital behaviour. As for Aniston, it's not even irritating, she is 40, has been the queen of pity parties for the past 5 years, uses the same n*de tricks as 23 years old Megan Fox in magazines while asking help to find a decent man after chasing Mayer the pizer twice in a row. This is not even pathetic, it's beyond desperate : it's tragic !

OH PLEASE. THIS ISSUE WOULDN'T ARISE IF THE MEDIA STOPPED ASKING HER THESE KINDS OF QUESTIONS. When someone asks you a question, don't you answer it? That's what simply she's doing. Aren't all celebrity interviews redundant? Aren't they all repetitive? They're just answering the questions they're being asked (I think journalism has taken a sad turn for the worst) but clearly withholding any or all information that is too personal. We may feel we're entitled to know everything about celebrities personal lives, but we're not and I think that any self-respecting celebrity will skillfully give a decent interview without revealing more than they redeem necessary. If we keep hearing/reading about the same stuff over and over again, it's only due to poor journalism. Any serious media outlet or journalist would know better than to arrange an interview that's been seen and heard hundreds of times before. This is true for any "celebrity" so shame on Sugar for picking on Jennifer and creating conflict where there is none.
