She has been training hard to take on the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games series, which meant missing the premiere of her new movie The Beaver at the Cannes Film Festival this week. We got our first look as Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in this week's EW, where the actress revealed her excitement over landing the role in the highly-anticipated book adaptation. For the past few weeks, she's apparently been working hard on her archery and stunt skills to take on the many fight scenes in the arena. They're almost done putting together the complete The Hunger Games cast, though we're still waiting on who will be Cinna. Jennifer will probably have a few breaks from preparations to help promote X-Men: First Class, which means more peeks at her transformation for fans of THG.
