The Bourne Legacy Trailer: Jason Bourne Is so Five Years Ago

When the teaser for The Bourne Legacy dropped months ago, we got a glimpse at the latest chapter in the lauded action franchise, but the new, full trailer gives us a much better idea of the storyline, including Treadstone's remaining ties to Jason Bourne.

When the teaser for The Bourne Legacy dropped months ago, we got a glimpse at the latest chapter in the lauded action franchise, but the new, full trailer gives us a much better idea of the storyline, including Treadstone's remaining ties to Jason Bourne. Although Jeremy Renner is taking over as leading man, it seems that Matt Damon's character is still hanging around Manhattan . . . sort of. We also get a deeper look at Renner's character, Aaron Cross, who volunteers to be a subject for the program and ends up getting more than he bargains for. And by that I mean they alter his chromosomes, making him a supersoldier.

The addition of Renner, Rachel Weisz, and Edward Norton make Legacy feel like an entirely different franchise. That's not to say I'm not excited; with a few other action flicks like The Avengers already on his résumé, Renner seems like he's got the skills to perform the stunts, and as far as I'm concerned, every movie is better off with Edward Norton in it. The biggest question is, given how much of the story seems to revolve around Jason Bourne, will Damon be making a cameo? The flick comes out Aug. 3, but to watch the trailer, keep reading.

Scarlett Johansson, dressed in a black and white Preen ensemble and red suede Louboutin pumps, waved to fans before taking the podium at today's Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony. Scarlett was greeted on stage by her Avengers costar Jeremy Renner, who introduced her to the crowd and planted a congratulatory kiss on her cheek. Friends and family also came out to support Scarlett including her mom, Melanie Sloan, grandmother Dorothy Sloan, and younger sister, Fenan.

Scarlett and Jeremy team up on the big screen in the superhero flick, due out Friday, and they've been side by side during their international press tour. The pair sat down with us recently and talked about their mysterious backstories and the surprising humor in the Avengers script. Jeremy's not the only guy often spotted with Scarlett, as she's still seeing NYC-based creative director Nate Naylor, who was sitting in the front row during today's event. Both Scarlett and her boyfriend call Manhattan home and the actress's love of the city where she was born and raised also inspired her new "I [heart] NY" bracelet tattoo.

Jennifer Garner Jokes About Her "Weird Job" and Joins Charlize in Hot LBDs For CinemaCon

CinemaCon wrapped up with its star-studded Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last night.

CinemaCon wrapped up with its star-studded Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last night. Jennifer Garner wore a tight black dress to show off her postbaby body while accepting the female star of the year award in her second appearance of the week. Jennifer joined Johnny Depp for an event on Tuesday evening, though that time she choose a looser-fitting look. On stage, Jennifer joked about winning this award, saying:

"I told my mom the other day I was getting this award . . . and I was excited and feeling proud and thought she was going to be proud, and then there was this pause on the other end of the line. She said, 'Jennifer, do these people know you haven't worked in the last year?' I said, 'Yeah, I feel they probably know what I've been up to. I haven't stepped foot on a set. You are correct, mom.' She said, 'Can they take this back? Because every time I talk to you, you are breastfeeding, you are running carpool, you are on the library committee — you are not acting!' I said it's not all about the now, it's things you've done in the past or in the future, and she was like, 'Honey, you have a weird job.'"

Charlize Theron was also honored yesterday evening, after joining Kristen Stewart to promote Snow White and the Huntsman at the convention earlier in the day. Michelle Pfeiffer looked stunning in her own LBD to receive the cinema icon statue. Jeremy Renner and The Hunger Games' Josh Hutcherson took home male star of the year and breakthrough star of the year, respectively.

CinemaCon has been going on since Monday and given press and movie theater owners sneak peeks at highly-anticipated upcoming movies like Snow White and the Huntsman and Battleship. The convention even brought out the first 60 seconds of the new adaptation of Les Misérables, which is apparently already earning very early award-season buzz.

Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner Talk About The Avengers' Humor and Prepping to Be Black Widow and Hawkeye

What's interesting about Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner's characters in The Avengers is that neither one actually has superpowers.

What's interesting about Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner's characters in The Avengers is that neither one actually has superpowers. They play Black Widow and Hawkeye, respectively, both of whom are trained S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who just happen to be amazing at kicking butt. I recently chatted with the duo at the film's press day in LA, where they discussed their characters' backstories and why the film is funnier than they expected. Johansson also discussed what it's like to play the only female Avenger. Watch!

The Avengers Bring Their Superpowers to London

Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., and the rest of the all-star Avengers cast stepped out in London tonight for the UK premiere.

Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., and the rest of the all-star Avengers cast stepped out in London tonight for the UK premiere. The actors are making their way around the globe prior to the May 4 US release of the action adventure. We were on hand for the LA debut last week, and since then, Scarlett, RDJ, and the rest of the celebs have been on the road talking up their larger-than-life flick. It was a special evening for dad-to-be Chris Hemsworth, who was joined by his Hoss Intropia-clad wife, Elsa Pataky. The couple are expecting their first child this Summer, though they've decided to keep the baby's gender a secret. Robert might be able to give Chris some parenting tips — RDJ and his wife, Susan, welcomed son Exton in February.

Scarlett opted to break away from the sexy LBDs she's been wearing and instead chose a floral embroidered Prada frock. Scarlett was the only female cast member to make the trek to Moscow for the Avengers screening, but tonight she was joined by her partner in fighting crime, Cobie Smulders. Cobie dazzled in a form-fitted, floor-length Alexandra Vidal red gown.

Scarlett Johansson was joined by her sexy costars Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Mark Ruffalo for yesterday's Moscow premiere of The Avengers. Scarlett wore a low-cut Nina Ricci dress and continued her trend of LBD looks on the red carpet, having worn Versace for last week's LA Avengers premiere.

The cast is making their way around the globe prior to the May 4 US release of the film, though Gwyneth Paltrow, who makes a small cameo as Pepper Potts, has sat out this round of promotional events. In addition to chatting up the Marvel film, some of the acts have gotten personal in recent interviews. RDJ shared cute stories about his newborn son Exton in the latest issue of Esquire, and Scarlett's touched on her "devastating" divorce from Ryan Reynolds in Vogue.

Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Tom Hiddleston were also on hand to pose for pictures at the European press stop. The cast of the Marvel and Disney movie will spend the next few weeks on the road promoting their project, which hits theaters in the US on May 4. We were live at their big Hollywood premiere earlier this month, where we chatted up the stars of the film and learned a little more about what it was like behind the scenes on the set. During our interview with Scarlett Johansson, she joked that she had to "meditate" to deal with the discomfort and heat of her rubber costume. Meanwhile, new dad Robert Downey Jr. basked in the fan attention at the debut. He and his wife, Susan Downey, stepped out for the red carpet event after welcoming their son Exton in early February.

A Versace-clad Scarlett Johansson joined Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, and several other big superhero names at last night's premiere of The Avengers at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. We were live on the red carpet, bringing you our interviews with the heroes of the new Marvel movie and capturing all the star-studded arrivals. The film's boldfaced cast also includes Mark Ruffalo, who had his lovely wife Sunrise Coigney on his arm at the debut, Tom Hiddleston, and Jeremy Renner, to name just a few. Stellan Skarsgård, who has a small role in the film, was also in attendance with his son Alexander Skarsgård close by.

On the carpet, Scarlett told us that if she had her character Black Widow's powers of interrogation, she'd probably use her skills to grill George Clooney for all his secrets. Meanwhile, new dad Robert Downey Jr., who was there with his wife Susan Downey, spoke about feeling great since the birth of their son Exton earlier this year. Stay tuned for today's PopSugar Rush to catch our interviews with Scarlett and RDJ, and for any others you may have missed!

The Avengers is one of the most anticipated movies of 2012, but the year's biggest box office hit — The Hunger Games — came up several times during the evening. Chris Hemsworth spoke about his little brother Liam Hemsworth's success with the blockbuster, and Jeremy Renner — whose character Hawkeye is an expert with the bow and arrow — told us he thinks he'd easily take Katniss in an archery competition.

The Bourne Legacy Teaser: Jeremy Renner Takes Over For Matt Damon

Matt Damon may have exited the Bourne franchise, but his successor, Jeremy Renner, is primed and ready to go.

Matt Damon may have exited the Bourne franchise, but his successor, Jeremy Renner, is primed and ready to go. In this brief teaser for The Bourne Legacy, we meet his character, Aaron Cross, an operative being prepped for Treadstone, the CIA program that turned Bourne into an elite government assassin. We shouldn't be surprised that there are more agents like Bourne, apparently, because as Edward Norton's character intones, "Jason Bourne was the tip of the iceberg."

As we see Cross being groomed, and then using his jaw-dropping skills in the field, I let go of my wistfulness for Damon, because Renner's new incarnation is such a badass. Plus, the fact that there are mainstays from the Bourne series here, like director Tony Gilroy and supporting cast members Joan Allen and David Strathairn, gives the new film some consistency, even if Damon isn't there. Though he'll always be the original, I can't wait to see what Renner brings to the table, because from the looks of the trailer, he's the right choice to play Damon's successor. To judge for yourself, just keep reading.
