Most of us are worried about Joaquin Phoenix losing it but apparently he has his mind set on being a rapper and he kicked off his debut in Vegas this weekend. Before we saw these videos many said you could not take him seriously as a rapper, and here is his debut as well as an unfortunate post-rap fall offstage. So now that we have more evidence, watch the videos below and discuss — is Joaquin Phoenix crazy or all talent?

He seems like a pretty funny guy, so this HAS to be a joke... Now if he were to become a singer then that would be cool, he has a great voice. Remember Walk the Line?But this rapping thing is ridiculous! :(

I like him a lot but Ive seen many of his VH-1 interviews and he's really like sick with drugs. He was not talking about his movies but frogs on the hair of the reporter and this was way before his retirement news.

I think it's probably a bit of a joke; as Danielle already pointed out, I heard that Casey Affleck was making a documentary about Joaquin breaking into rap. He's obviously terrible; I suspect that he could do better if he "tried" as evidenced by his performance as Cash. Anyway, it's great / funny if we wants to try doing something new. If he's "on something", who knows better than he does the dangers of drugs? Must be rather deliberate on his part.
