Joe Insults Taylor in "Much Better" — Unforgivable or Understandable?

The Jonas Brothers new album comes out June 16, and one song in particular is already getting attention. The lyrics in "Much Better" have some not-so-subtle references to Taylor Swift including: "And all the tears on her guitar / I'm not bitter / But now I see / Everything I'd ever need / Is the girl in front of me / She's much better." Taylor openly spoke about her split with Joe and even wrote a song about it, but he's the one that ended things and moved on with Camilla Belle. What do you think — are Joe's lyrics unforgivable or understandable?

this song is so immature. he broke up with her and she was heartbroken, he wasn't. while her song doesn't use names or lyrics like this one( and the tears on her guitar), she did blab all about it which is understandable in my eyes if he broke her heart i believe he honestly deserves it. and while Taylor Swift did pretty much envoke Joe Jonas with the doll video, this song is very immature even the lyrics say 'i wanna fight with you" so while i still love this song i'm gonna have to take Taylor Swift's side

Good gracious! He is an immature home schooled jerk. I bet he failed in most subjects. He only knows to break hearts. Actually both Taylor and Joe haven't got a clue about life. This fame, this bubble reputation only lasts for a short while. Their songs have already started to tire public out. What shall they do for the rest of their lives? What will they earn?

i don't understand why its ok when aylor does this for everyone of her songs but when they do it its bad and rude of them or harsh. If Taylor does it more then they do that why can't he sing one song about someone like taylor does all the time.

It always amazed me in how people treat each other like garbage when they break up. Sure your feelings are going to be hurt and there will be anger but if you were together with that person, you shared good times with him or her. Why can't people just move on and just try to go on with their lives?

I think Joe has the right to express his feelings about their breakup. I have listened to "Much Better" and "Forever and Always". By listening to these songs, I feel Joe broke up with Taylor. Most of the time in "Much Better" it is instruments playing. In "Forever and Always", Taylor has a lot to say about how she feels. I think Joe broke up with Taylor, but Taylor wasn't the perfect angel, either.

I am a HUGE fan of Taylor Swift, shes awesome, but i also like the Jonas Brothers (Nick Jonas) :) In Taylor Swifts song she didn't use any words or sentences that would make people think it was about Joe, she just wrote her feelings and came up with a gorgeous song, But Joe's song is very obvious and quite picky and mean, It would have been fine i guess if he just wrote about his feelings and didn't use something that would state it was about Taylor Swift. I hate how fans of Taylor Swift AND the Jonas Brothers are having to take a side, over all i like Taylor Swift best (my opinion) but I think fans should just take both sides cos it has nothing to do with them but "much better" is just kinda obvious...

PLEASE help me understand..why can she walk around tearing his name up and he cant write ONE song about her... it wasnt even the full song, just ONE lyric! and she hung up on him! why is she CLASSIER THAN HIM? she blabbed FIRST! but not just once, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! publicly,humiliating him.i understand that she would be mad, but, would a person with CLASS as you guys are saying Taylor has, be able to handle a breakup privately, and handle it better than she did? just thought i'd ask :)

I think its HILARIOUS how everyone thinks Taylor is SO freakin innocent. I feel as if she was just attacking him, over and over and over again. first Ellen, then the doll video, then the song.... it was about time for him to fight back, he has the right. and one of them is lying, and i honestly think that its taylor lying, as she keeps changing her story. i am totally unbiased, i love them both, but i did lose alot of respect for Taylor. its understandable for her to be angry, but if she was a normal girl in your highschool, and he a normal guy, after a breakup, she was angry with him, and said things over and over again about him to other people, and he said one thing back, who's side would you be on? I think this is completly understandable. Hes not insulting Taylor. Hes talking about his relief and how he feels as if he WAS much better with Camilla. Camilla made him happier. And if you didn't read the Jonas announcement on their MySpace a few monthes back, he called Taylor to discuss things and she didn't want to listen. He wasn't going to sit there and expect everything to be perfect, he had to end it then. And this song being a publicity thing? Both the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift write about expierences. Soooo, if this is a publicity thing, than "Forever & Always" must have been a publicity thing too. The Jonas Brothers don't need publicity. Have you ever noticed there concerts have been repeatedly selling out, and you have to have the best of luck to get even a moderately good seat? OH. And at least the Jonas Brothers are putting themselves out there in movies and television. I don't see Taylor that often, ya know.

Poor joe. Majority of people doesn't want you!! You know what's the real thing about this song? He's bitter (even he denied that he is! The song is the proof!) He wants to get even to taylor for writing FOREVER AND ALWAYS (unfortunately he failed haha! And he just get people more disgusted to them!). .poor poor scared little boy.
