Johnny Depp joined his leading lady, Amber Heard, and their director Bruce Robinson at the Paris premiere of The Rum Diary last night. The movie made its French debut at Cinema Gaumont Marignan, and Amber wore a navy Stella McCartney gown to the event, while Johnny color-coordinated with a deep blue vest. It was the latest red-carpet event for the onscreen pair, who have also hosted openings of the comedy in cities from LA to London. The film hasn't performed so well at American box offices, but Johnny has already garnered some award-season consideration for some of his other 2011 work, snagging two People's Choice Award nominations earlier this week.

Johnny has several in-the-works projects ahead of him once his current promotional duties come to an end. Not only is his next project with Gore Verbinski, The Lone Ranger, back on track after being derailed by budget concerns, but he has several completed movies banked for release in the coming year. He teamed up with his frequent collaborator Tim Burton on Dark Shadows, has a role in the big-screen adaptation of his 1980s TV series 21 Jump Street, and also recently directed a documentary about his friend Keith Richards.
