"It's nice to be able to, especially this week when it's all kind of ramping up, it's nice to focus attention on what's actually maybe a little more important than all the glitz and stuff so it's fun to do." Jon Hamm says it feels good to give back during the party-filled days leading up to the Academy Awards. The Mad Men star stepped out Thursday night for the 5th annual Hollywood Dominoes fundraiser at the Sunset Tower Hotel, where he won a snazzy new watch. The event benefited screenwriter Paul Haggis's Artists For Peace and Justice organization, which supports poor and disenfranchised communities in Haiti and around the world. A golden gown wearing Ali Larter made a glamorous appearance, as did LeAnn Rimes. LeAnn, dressed in a low-cut Tom Ford dress, shared her low-key Oscar Sunday plans with reporters: "I'm one of those unless I have to, I'm on my couch in my PJs with my husband and my stepchildren hanging out." And even though Ms. Rimes made it out for this event, she admitted to being more interested in the party than playing the game of the night. "I'm not playing, I'm watching, I'm like terrified of dominos./Poker, I'm down, dominos I have no idea at all." While Hollywood gears up for Oscar Sunday, Jon Hamm has several projects to look forward to — His movie with girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt, Friends With Kids, opens March 9th and Mad Men returns March 25th.
