Jon Hamm drops a major Mad Men hint! Hey there, I'm Karli Bulnes. What we learned about Don Draper's engagement and what Jon admires about his director girlfriend is in today's PopSugar Rush! "It's a big job in managing time and expectations and people and those are skills I am not necessarily good at but I learned really quickly." Jon Hamm says he was up for the challenge of doing double duty as both Don Draper and director of the first episode of season five of Mad Men, telling reporters at Paleyfest on Tuesday that he learned a lot from girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt, who recently directed the film Friends With Kids. "It was inspiring to watch how she works and and how in command and in control she was" After posing with a Jenny Packham-wearing and pink-hair-streaked January Jones . . . . . . Jon told reporters he'd happily take another turn behind the camera if asked to, and his costars told us they were on board, saying the leading man made a great leader behind the scenes: Kiernan Shipka: "He's a good director he had a really good vision." John Slattery: "He was brief and to the point which is what you want, you know you just want someone to tell you what to do." Robert Morse: "I followed every step he made" Jay R. Ferguson:"Working with Jon was fantastic just because, well, the main reason in my opinion is it's always a treat to work with a director who's an actor first and foremost./6:37-6:49 "He's just a great guy anyway and he's just a lot of fun to be around and to have him outside the Draper getup and just being Jon, we had a lot of fun." Show creator Matthew Weiner had a lot of fun writing in the jump in time that happens this season, and even though it's a well-kept secret what actually happened during it, Jon dropped a major hint about Don during last night's panel, saying he got engaged but [pull quote] "He didn't necessarily get married." After 17 months of hiatus, fans will finally get some answers when Mad Men returns March 25th on AMC.
