Josh Hutcherson tells us he's excited to work with director Francis Lawrence on Catching Fire. Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and we have your look at our interview with Josh at the GLAAD Media Awards in this PopSugar Rush. JOSH HUTCHERSON: "I'm excited about it, I haven't met the guy yet, but I heard he's great, so I'm excited." Josh Hutcherson is ready to get started on Catching Fire! The Hunger Games star stopped by the GLAAD Media Awards in downtown LA over the weekend, where he chatted about the upcoming film and the reason for his appearance at the event supporting the LGBT community. PopSugar editor Lindsay Miller caught up with him on the carpet. LINDSAY MILLER: Josh took a break from his busy schedule for the Hunger Games to come out to the award ceremony tonight, where he was honored with the Vanguard award. JOSH HUTCHERSON: This goes to everybody who has ever had a struggle with being yourself, and I think the most beautiful thing a human being can do is just be who are inside, so please everybody, just be yourself and encourage everyone else to do the same, thank you guys. LINDSAY MILLER: Josh has his own organization dedicated to the cause, and tonight he told us about some of the inspiring stories he's heard from people it has touched. JOSH HUTCHERSON: "I got this one email from a young guy who was a freshman in high school in Florida, and he was experiencing a lot of ridicule for possibly being gay, and he said that with Straight and Not Narrow there, it gave him, it made him feel like he could come out of the closet and he did and he said that without us, it would've been a lot harder for him, so that one story alone made it worth every hour we've put into it, so it's impressive." Max Adler: I actually wore this for PopSugar, I knew this would be happening . . . Glee was one of the shows nominated for honors at the event, and actor Max Adler broke out his Pop-pink-colored tie to talk about the influence the series has had, particularly his character's storyline. MAX ADLER: I'm shooting in Kentucky and a lot of people came out to be our background extras in the stands, and one of the moms came up to me and said that her son was suicidal and when he saw that episode he was very shaken, and that was the first time they had a conversation in the household about everything . . .and pretty much told me that the episode saved her son's life. Josh and Max were just two of the stars in attendance during the evening . . . Joshua Jackson, Ali Larter, Milla Jovovich, and Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres also came out to lend their famous faces to the cause. If you're interesting in getting involved, you can check out glaad.org or Josh's organization Straight But Not Narrow at wearesbnn.com. I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and thanks for watching PopSugar Rush.
