Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus met her real-life counterpart Tuesday night at the state dinner. The actress, who plays Vice President Selina Meyer on the HBO show, shared a picture of herself with Vice President Joe Biden on Instagram and said it was awesome. We agree. As we know from her award-show acceptance speeches, Julia likes to stay in character off set. So we have to hope she channeled a bit of Selina's persona sitting next to Joe Biden — perhaps they traded a few gaffe tips. At the state dinner honoring French President Francois Hollande, Julia was joined by her French-born father, billionaire William Louis-Dreyfus. Other famous faces invited by the Obamas included Bradley Cooper and his girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, and Mary J. Blige. Scroll down for photos of Julia's arrival.
