Chris Brown was spotted out in LA on Friday, before his shocking and dramatic Grammy weekend. As we continue to get more details on the assault, friends of both Chris and Rihanna are weighing in on the situation. Yesterday T.I. revealed to Carson Daly that he had spoken with Chris, saying, "He cool, you know. I guess he a little concerned about the situation, but he's still the same Chris."

Ryan Seacrest asked Kanye West for his thoughts during an interview this morning, and Kanye called Rihanna his "lil sis," said he was devastated by the whole situation and that it's nothing any woman should go through. Rihanna's reps have said that the singer is doing well and has thanked her fans for support, but tell us — do you want official statements?

i think that he needs to talk and tell us wat he was thinking. i think she should leave him.she needs to move on because thats whats best for her. she should talk and tell us why she still loves him and wat happened.i love rihanna and i feel terible but she has no moral compass right now.there are children looking up to her for and anwser and the right one.

I think it's better if they stay quiet. Or at least I wouldn't want to hear a statement from Chris..what would he say? "What a valuable experience to learn from...yes I beat the crap out of someone but I apologize and I hope we can all move on".

Unfortunately, as public figures, their private fight has turned into a media storm. Like or not, both singers are seen as role models to some, and need to clarify whether this is a case of domestic violence or not.

Normally, I wouldnt pry or wonder too much about what happened, because its really noones business but their own, but this story is getting so out of hand and is being covered by every media source that its really confusing and its damaging both of their careers because of it. Some radio stations here in the Twin Cities are boycotting Browns music, hes being dropped from all his endorsments and the poor girl is cancelling all her shows. And noone really knows what happened for sure. Itd be helpful to get a statement to settle the publics speculation and put this case to rest and let them handle it on their own.

Funny how ppl want to make this a laughing matter...well...just hope your day doesn't come unless you like that kind of thing..that's all... these types of men seem sweet in the beginning....then things change...he is a bastard..open your eyes...this is no "stunt"! gosh...totally messed up ppl with no heart it seems but then again...LOL.. what to expect...unfortunately many won't get it, don't have to be ugly to beat a woman...many of the seemingly smart, good looking and talented men beat the hell out of women and many don't ever know..cause they only see the outside..i am just so sadden by this so much, i just feel really bad about this and hope she keeps away from him! Rhianna's rep did give a statement although he didn't say much. I'd like to know what Chris has to say and what explanation he can give for all this. I think when you live such a public life like this it goes with the territory when something so major happens liike you're arrested how do you expect the press not to talk about it?

Actually it is interesting to hear their friends' reactions. I love TI's music, but his response is incredibly disappointing, as are his own legal problems. And Kanye's response is appropriate, it makes me respect him more even though he is somewhat of an ass in general. As far as Rihanna and Chris Brown, if she wanted to give a statement I think it would be a strong thing to do. People keep saying "let her dad or Jay-Z kick Chris Brown's ass," but honestly I think a statement from her as a strong woman would be powerful, as would legal prosecution. However, I could see why she would want to be private. Also, I don't care what Brown says, if he has a defense, fine, he can present it in court and make a statement after he gets absolved, but anything other than that he can just stfu. And I especially don't want to hear a fake-ass apology and then his announcement he's going to rehab. He's just done, in my eyes.

I feel bad for both of them going through this situation in such a public manner. For R because she seems like the victim and needs room to work through what happened. For Chris because he comes from a cycle of abuse and this is something he never wanted to be part of, but obviously has issues from his childhood that need to be worked out. The silver-lining in all this is that domestic violence is a topic of discussion all over the place now... I even saw information about what to do if you are a involved in DV on MTV's home page recently. That is cool.
