Kate's Just Like Every Other Mom (Except for the Shoes)
Kate Beckinsale led a group of rather excited looking 9-year-olds around a fire station in LA yesterday to celebrate her daughter Lily Sheen's birthday. Sounds like we may have a future firewoman on our hands. We know those Beckinsale-Wiseman-Sheens just love dressing up together, so it's no surprise they accessorized with plastic firefighter hats for the occasion. Never one to go really casual, Kate paired her hat with a pair of sassy knee-high black boots. Hey, she isn't #3 on AskMen.com's list of the year's hottest women for nothing.

9OK. Vent time: I'm a thin girl with thin legs. It's hell boot shopping for knee-high boots because they're always so roomy in the calf area. So I end up trying on 15 pairs and going home disappointed because boots are supposed to fit, right? They're not supposed to have those big gaps in the back, right? But I see these actresses (Kate, Charlize) in these big ass boots, and I think it looks ridiculous, but they always seem to pull it off.

17i doubt 9 year olds were excited about visiting a fire station. they probably have all been in them half a dozen times before. that's like a 4 or 5 year olds birthday. and the outfit to a fire house? that's just cheap. i like her but not this time around.

30Nice outfit. She really knows how to make any outfit work. I'd love to have tall boots like that but I'm cursed with thick legs that never fit into boots higher than just above the ankle.
