Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio are known to be great friends, and he even stands in once in a while as her date on the red carpet when her husband Sam Mendes isn't around. She recently opened up about their close relationship, revealing that she wears a gold ring from Leo with an inscription engraved inside. Kate's candid nature about her husband and Leo is just one of the reasons people love her — she's made it into the Elite Eight of the PopSugar100 — but jewelry sounds somewhat intimate. I love both of them...they are so talented and i think its amazing that they have a strong relationship after all this time. But i cant help but think that a ring, of all things is slightly inappropriate- especially since she wears it along side her wedding rings. I'm not suggesting that there is anything romantic going on between them..but i don't think it looks right- especially since they are in the public-eye.

Wow I am still in therapy because kate and leonardo are not together. How fcuked up is my life? I still have hope for them, their love ring, and still hear My Heart Will Go On in my head. AM I crazy? Yes. Delusional? Maybe. But please do not ruin my dream.

The friendship between Leo and Kate seems very genuine and I think it's beautiful. There is nothing wrong with her wearing a ring he gave her and I think it also speaks to the security and honesty of her marriage that her husband would be ok with it. I really wish I could say I would be ok if my husband wore a ring that a close female friend gave him, but the reality is I would feel uncomfortable with that. It just wouldn't sit well with me. I hate that! Insecurity and jealously rear there ugly heads, ugh! Need to work on that lol!!!

it is just so bittersweet to think that they seem to have a deep-seated love for each other more than being friends yet kate has her not-so-handsome husband sam.. i really bet that they have something that will be out in the open soon. in the first place, why would kate keep the inscription private if there's nothing more in it than just being friends?

Her husband evidently trusts her and knows that there is nothing going on, and they are good friends. Nothing weird about it; in fact, it's refreshing that they can actually have a true friendship in a increasingly fake Hollywood.

I remember seeing an interview with Kate a few months back where she was talking about the Time magazine cover she did and she said she was wearing a gold necklace that Leo gave her. Maybe it was a set. lol

The ring thing is sweet and strange at the same time. We shall see what happens in the next 5-10 years. Perhaps they will fall in love. Who knows.

Joygirl, I agree. But it's ok to wear a ring from him, they've had a long frindship and friends sometimes do buy each other nice things. It doesn't really matter if it's a guy or a girl you have as a friend. If there's nothing more than friendly feelings it's alright.

Joygirl-AMEN!!!! i thought the same thing!! i voted strange....i love that they are such good friends and have been for years. i don't think any other on-screen couple could have as much chemistry as these two do. jewelry is one thing, but engraved? i wonder what it says? i wonder if Leo has a matching one?? lol. if i was Sam Mendes, i would be a bit threatened by my gorgeous wife's equally gorgeous man-friend.....haha!

So, what does the engraving say? Because I think that would make a difference... If it says Forver yours let say, thats a bit hmmm. If it says Titanic 1999 (or whatever year) then thats a little different.

I think it's very sweet! I'm a big fan of them of their tandem every since the movie Titanic and I was just in the 2nd grade that time! UNTIL NOW I STILL WISH THEY BE TOGETHER! I have a feeling they secretly love each other deep in their hearts! Hahaha! Well at least they're very good friends! Hmm maybe Kate's husband feel a little awkward and strange because of Kate and Leo's closeness and for sure he knows that they've been through a lot!
