Katharine McPhee Bails on Idol Tour

Katharine McPhee sure looked healthy this past weekend in Laguna Beach with her boyfriend Nick Cokas. However now she is skipping out on her Idol Tour due to bronchitis and laryngitis. She missed last night and will miss tonight's performance at Manchester's Verizon Wireless Arena.

People report:

Her doctor, Sean Nassari, ordered "total voice rest," the Associated Press reports.

In a statement, McPhee, 22, said that, while she was disappointed not to perform, "I need to follow my doctor's orders to recuperate and reunite with the rest of the idols."

Adding that her doctor had told her she needed to remain silent, she said, "That's the most difficult part, not talking!"

I love Katharine McPhee. who cares who she is dating and now married to, it's none of your business to judge meanly of it! she has a beautiful voice and because of American Idol, she sold many popular albums because she is such a great singer! also, she is a funny actress!!!! don't huge a person!!! she is beautiful just the way she is!!!!! =)

Ooo I thank God that she did not win American Idol bc she is annoying as hell and I hated her voice...I never really watched the show, unless I was going through and happened to cross it then I would watch for a few minutes but when she came on, oh shit I hated her presents!!! she thinks she is soo hot and she has attitude, I agree with you Chanelgirl8...her 15minutes on t.v got to her head, get over yourself (you're a NO BODY) and stop sleeping with men your dads age.

lol Caroline...don't be shy girl, just come right out and tell us how you feel about her?!! McPhee is full of McS&*t...she just doesn't want to share the stage with any of the other Idols. I'm surprised she doesn't have bronchitis, laryngitis and pneumonia. But I guess that would just be over kill.

Well I don't know how she sings but she sure seems to be coming off as a diva! As for the age difference between her & her boyfriend, it is a lot, but I have learnt that you can't really judge it. the might have a good relationship even if it seems odd on the outside. I have a friend who is with a man 19 years older than her, but it works for them.

She is so annoying and her man is a balding Fug Face. Nice of her to pull a Jessica Simpson. Remember last year when she supposedly went to africa for operation smile and was supposed to do some kind of event with the kids and canceled? She said she was sick, but she was not too sick to go on a safari at the same time as the event. I knew McPhee seemed like a self centered biotch and this just verifies it.

yeah it very odd to some, but my parents are 12 years apart so its average to me. how old is she again? 21? see, 20+ years older isnt that good, especially because she should stick with the guys her own age because shes so young.

In her recent People Magazine article it finally gives us an age of her boyfriend, I can't remember if he's 41 or 44, but yeesshh what is she doing dating a guy almost double her age. (not that there's anything wrong with dating someone older, it just seems so strange!)

I was a fan of hers since day 1 - I did start to worry that fame was getting to her head sometimes, I guess that is bound to happen though. I *really* hope this is legit and she isn't just being a diva. We have enough of those.
