Katie Gets Suri Some Fancy New Duds

Rather than jockey for a front row seat for the shows at Paris Fashion Week with her friend Posh, Katie Holmes was spotted shopping at Armani Junior in Milan over the weekend. Suri is always best dressed of the Celebrity Baby brigade, but she can always use a new outfit (or 20). I'm sure Suri appreciates the personal shopper/mom service, but I do wish we saw the mini-fashionista picking out her own new looks. You just know she's already got an impeccable sense of personal style.

she's still pretty but it probably wouldn't hurt her to look closer to her age sometimes. her style is great but more appropriate on a 40 yr old. seriously, every picture is a crisp white shirt with high waisted skirt/wide leg trousers, stilettos and a trench. at least tom loosened the leash and lets her wear heels now. switch it up katie, and live a little! throw on your old skinny jeans and a tunic, you KNOW you want to. okay, if suri is dressing like this (in impeccable burberry and armani) at age 2, i can only imagine what she'll be dressing in when she's actually old enough to appreciate fashion. i probably wouldn't be able to afford her wardrobe now! *sigh*

I'm late to this post but for some reason I find the pictures of Katie and the buying of Armani clothes for Suri disturbing. I am one who appreciates classic and yes (gasp) modest styles but it's something else about Katie that doesn't sit right. She just looks like she's in some sort of a robotic state all the time. As far as Suri dressing in designer clothes, sorry, I don't care who you are or how much money you have, designer clothes for children is just plain vulgar. Okey-dokee. I think that's my rant for the day :)

I understand what you are saying, if a billionaire dropped a 50 dollar bill he wouldnt even think twice about it , wheras people like me would probably be sick for week over wasting 50 bucks. lol. But I still dont see how that justifies buying a pair of Loubs to wear to the beach...If you can afford to give $10,000 to a charity and still go pay 400 dollars for a pair of sunglasses, then what the hell would it hurt to give 10,360 dollars to charity and buy a 40$ pair of sunglasses...but then all her friends would make fun of her for being cheap, right? Just goes to show how vain society is...that being said I dont think Katie and Tom are half as bad as some celebs (IE Donald Trump, P Diddy etc)

i think she looks so good!! very mature, grown up....i agree with the 1st comment, its hard to believe this is the girl from dawsons creek! i dont think anyone let her actually grow up until she got with tom. i wanna see more of adorable suri :) shes so friggin cute! :baby:

allourregrets....I understand what you are saying. However, what I am saying is that the amount of money that they make that $1000 is probably the equivalent of $1 or less to most people. I think that they can afford to donate money AND still buy the $1000 dollar dress for the kid to wear once. I donate clothes, money and other items regularly to people in need. However, I know that if I wanted to buy something ridiculously expensive for my daughter I wouldn't say...oh let me not buy this $1000 sweater. i will buy a $50 one instead and give to $950 to charity. It is a good idea in theory, but that will not come to mind when you see one of those "must have" items.One more thing...the circles that Katie is in now lends itself to those prices. She is now this world traveler and ends up in these pricey stores. She would probably have to go out of her way to go to a GAP, Children's Place, Target, Walmart, etc., to get normal priced clothes.

IMS-maybe they should be required to do so...I mean, isnt it a little ridiculous that they spend $1,000 on a sweater that the dang kid will probably wear once, when there are people who have to send there kids to school in the same outfit from Salvation Army everyday because thats all they can afford. And then that kid gets picked on and made fun of because hes "poor" and wears the same jeans everyday. I dunno, I just think that even if I did have that much money to buy a pair of 800 dollar shoes for my infant child, I wouldnt. I couldnt justify that in my head, Id rather buy her an 80 dollar pair of shoes and send the $720 to someone who could really use it..ya know, to buy food for their family.

I don't see anything wrong with buying expensive clothes for a child. In the grand scheme of things they make enough money that they can donate all over the place and still afford nice stuff. give me a freakin' break--buying designer armani clothes for a toddler that will grow out of them in a few months is such a waste of money--think about all the needy people in the world and here we have a person selfishly spending her money on ridiculously overpriced clothes. sad.
