Katie Holmes Talks Suri's Fashion Sense and the Possibility of Another Baby in InStyle's August Issue

Katie Holmes is on the August cover of InStyle, wearing a shoulder-baring pink dress and her favorite charm necklace featuring her daughter Suri's initial. Katie modeled for the magazine as she gears up for the release of her upcoming comedy Jack and Jill, as well as her horror movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. The actress and designer is busy on the big screen this Summer and Fall, but is also staying focused on fashion, recently launching her latest Holmes & Yang collection. Katie was happy to dole out some of her advice on how to dress, as well as share her take on her daughter Suri's much-talked-about style. Here are highlights:

On taking fashion risks: "I'm not afraid to try a new designer or do something trendy, but it has to look right on my body. You don't want to look like a fashion victim!"
On her favorite indulgence: "Nice undies. They make you feel special when you put them on in the morning. Even when I was a little girl I loved my 'days of the week' pairs. I love the hot pink ones — that makes my day!"
On Suri's style: "I do not dress her. She dresses herself! Obviously, I buy her clothes, but she is the one who puts her outfits together. In fact, she helps me. If she likes something of mine, I know it's good."
On whether she'll have another baby: "I don't feel pressure to do that. We already have a very big family: a full household with cousins who are over a lot, and she has her friends. My biggest thing is making sure she's fully taken care of and doing well."

@ninou I've really tried to like her too, but the way she kinda lets Suri rule her is a bit weird...Not to mention Tom... However she HAS been looking fab lately.

Or maybe a bit of individual thought, opinion and personal taste at work, melveys? Hmm? I find her comment regarding fashion victim trends rather interesting and amusing, as I have always felt the very opposite about most of her choices—that she dresses according to what is trendy and not to what fits her body type. (See: Leggings, Skinny) Her Holmes & Yang “collection” is outrageously overpriced and ridiculously underwhelming. Plus I noticed she “borrowed” heavily from The Row, so it’s rather shocking that her prices are nearly double theirs.

why does it always have to jealousy or bitterness? are we supposed to worship and adore every celebrity and find them perfect and flawless. i wouldn't trade places with robobride for anything. i don't care how much money tommy boy has. i hate scientology and i don't consider children grownups in little bodies.
