Katie Holmes was out and about yesterday in NYC. The actress was seen leaving the Gramercy Park Hotel in a leather skirt and a bright cardigan as she made her way to a nearby theater. Katie will appear in a Broadway production of Dead Accounts, which opens the first week of November. Since splitting from Tom Cruise earlier this year, Katie has been keeping busy with her career, especially her fashion line, Holmes & Yang. She showed the collection during NYFW for the first time in September, and reports suggest that sales of the collection have been on the upswing in recent months.

Katie was spotted solo yesterday, but has been spending most of her time lately with her daughter, Suri Cruise. The duo have frequently been seen out for meals and park dates together near their NYC neighborhood. September also marked a big milestone for 6-year-old Suri, who started school in Manhattan.
