Katie Holmes and Suri Share a Park Playday in Baton Rouge

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise met up with a group of friends in Baton Rouge yesterday. They checked out fun animal statues and played in a park during the sunny afternoon. Katie and Suri are back in Louisiana while Tom Cruise films Oblivion, though he's already started switching gears to promote Rock of Ages. He was shirtless on the cover of W and chatted with the magazine about how Katie and Suri encouraged him to take the musical role. His costar Julianne Hough has begun press as well and was a presenter at last night's Billboard Music Awards. Their movie hits theaters on June 15, kicking off an exciting Summer that also includes the Teen Choice Awards, where Tom is nominated for best actor in Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol.

I can't say what the reasoning is behind Katie living here in CT. I don't know whether its an honest mistake on the part of this site, but I do know that Katie has been here consistently and Mr. Cruise hasn't visited at all. She hasn't left the area for quite some time until yesterday. She knocked on my door, told me she was going to the city for a few days and said she'd be back soon. She said she and Jeanne had work to do picking materials for their fall line, but she wouldn't be gone long. As I said, Katie is very, very friendly and sweet. She introduced me to her partner, Jeanne who was also friendly.

Hmmmm Well that's an interesting comment CRM919. I wonder why Popsugar said the photos were taken in Baton Rouge? Was it an honest mistake or did Tom Cruise's PR people tag the photo "Baton Rouge" so that it would appear Katie and Tom were spending lots of time together instead of miles apart?

These pictures were NOT taken in Baton Rouge. They were taken in Kent, Connecticut. Katie and Suri have been renting the home next to mine for a couple of months and have been in residence everyday for atleast a month. I chat with them daily. The coffee shop you show is in town. As for the 2 other little girls, they are the children of Katie's partner, who is also at the house regularly. By the way, Katie is a lovely, sweet gal and Suri is a pleasure! She has played with my son who's 4 and they have a blast together. A more down to earth Mom and Daughter you will never find.
