Katie Takes 5 from Mommyhood to Get Back to Work

We were upset Katie Holmes did not walk the red carpet last night with presenter and husband Tom but we did get to see lots of the happy couple at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. We must say Tom's fabulous haircut made us love him like back in his Jerry Maguire days. While Tom has never stopped working, Katie is finally speaking out about getting ready to go back to work in a month. She's not expecting it to be easy, but Tom's evidently all for it and she's up to the challenge as well. Here's more:

Suri, says Holmes, is "doing really, really well. She's a beautiful little girl, and I feel so honored to be her mom, really."

Their favorite mother-daughter activity? "A lot of walking around," she says. "She loves just being outside right now."

Soon, however, Mrs. Tom Cruise will be heading back to work. "I'm going to start a film in about a month and a half called Mad Money with Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton. I play a young girl who's part of three women who rob the Federal Reserve."

She adds with a smile, "It's a comedy."

Holmes says returning to work "will be another challenge but I have a wonderful, supportive husband and family, and it's another project that were going to handle together and that's part of the fun."

We look forward to Katie working again also. It will be more exciting to see her work than shop all day at Barneys or hit the town with BFF Posh - although we love that too.
