Carey Mulligan, wearing Lanvin, joined Leonardo DiCaprio to show their new film, The Great Gatsby, to a star-studded crowd in NYC last night. Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, David Schwimmer, and Emma Roberts turned out to see the Baz Luhrmann-directed version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel. The celebs retired to the Top of the Standard for the afterparty. Many may return to the Standard's top-floor bar this evening, too — it's a popular spot for post-Met Gala bashes!

Carey and Leo mingled with famous fans of their film following a big week. They attended the NYC premiere Wednesday at Lincoln Center along with costars Tobey Maguire and Isla Fisher. The coming days will bring more fun. They're expected on the Croisette in Cannes to screen their film, which will open the city's 2013 film festival.

Katy Perry mixed high fashion with drag queens yesterday in NYC. She dressed up in a blue Vera Wang gown when she arrived at the 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala, and also dropped by a performance of the Tony-nominated musical Kinky Boots on Broadway. Katy, who is a big fan of musicals, tweeted her support for the show after the performance. She said, "Just saw Kinky Boots on Broadway and cried with joy from its powerful, beautiful message." Katy also added, "If Billy Porter doesn't win the Tony for best actor in a musical . . . There will be words . . . Trust." The musical, which was brought to the stage by Cyndi Lauper, earned a whopping 13 Tony nominations earlier this week, more than any other show.

Katy has been having a busy time on the East Coast over the past few days. She attended the White House Correspondent's' Dinner on Saturday in Washington DC and visited Prada's party for The Great Gatsby in the Big Apple on Tuesday. While at the Gatsby bash, Katy hung out with Isla Fisher and chatted with friend Florence Welch.

In the first episode of Nicole Richie's AOL web series, Candidly Nicole, the star looked into removing her "tramp stamp," which she described as a "cross going down the crack tattoo." During her on-camera doctor's visit, Nicole said, "I was 16 and an idiot and didn't want my parents to see." She went on to add that "I'm not that girl" but ultimately decided against the laser tattoo removal. "If it was a one-time thing, I would do it," Nicole said in the webisode. "But I'm not going back every two months, you know. That's too much upkeep."

Katy Perry got in the roaring '20s spirit when she attended a cocktail reception for The Great Gatsby and Prada in NYC last night. She wore a purple Prada frock as she mingled with the film's stars Isla Fisher and Carey Mulligan, as well as her fellow musician Florence Welch. The fete was to celebrate an exhibition of the dresses that Miuccia Prada and costume designer Catherine Martin created for the upcoming film. The fashionable stars were joined by the film's director, Baz Luhrmann, who is married to Catherine, as well as Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, who attended the celebration with his wife, and Miuccia herself.

Carey recently talked to Harper's Bazaar about wearing Prada-designed frocks for the project, noting that she's "always loved their clothes." She said, "They were the first designer house that ever lent me anything; I wore Prada to the Oscars. The people who work there are so lovely and really just non-scary fashion people." Saturday night's White House Correspondents' Dinner gathered celebrities from New York to LA to Washington DC. There were plenty of ladies decked out in their red carpet finest, including Katy Perry in Giambattista Valli, Kerry Washington in Wes Gordon, Kate Mara in white Prada, and more. Amy Poehler also went for white, choosing a dress from Basler. Nashville's Connie Britton wore a bright blue Temperley London number, while costar Hayden Panettiere picked a yellow Katharine Kidd gown. Purple was a popular choice for Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Dolce & Gabbana dress. and Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery in Elie Saab. Claire Danes went with baby blue Prada to hit the dinner with husband Hugh Dancy — see all the White House Correspondents Dinner fashions!

Plenty of guys turned out too — Modern Family's Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet, Matthew Perry, and Scandal's Tony Goldwyn were among those who stepped out to hear jokes from host Conan O'Brien. After last night's White House Correspondents' Dinner, Vanity Fair hosted its annual postparty with Editor in Chief Graydon Carter greeting the many celebrity guests. Nicole Kidman mingled with other actors including Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, and Nashville leading ladies Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere. Despite being dubbed the "nerd prom," the many actresses in DC last night were dressed to the nines in their best gowns — check out who wore what on the White House Correspondents' Dinner red carpet.

The Vanity Fair bash, cohosted by Bloomberg, also brought out celebrity couples — Jason Sudeikis stuck close to fiancée Olivia Wilde, Sofía Vergara mingled with her own spouse-to-be, Nick Loeb, and Bradley Cooper brought his young model love, Suki Waterhouse. Jason made sure to say hi to his fellow SNL buddies from the past and present, including Fred Armisen and Amy Poehler. Sofía, meanwhile, hung out with pal Katy Perry.
