Pregnant Kristin Cavallari Lounges in a Cutout Suit With Shirtless Jay Cutler

Kristin Cavallari and her fiancé Jay Cutler escaped to Cabo San Lucas over the weekend.

Kristin Cavallari and her fiancé Jay Cutler escaped to Cabo San Lucas over the weekend. The couple were spotted relaxing by the pool at their resort with friends on Saturday after arriving in Mexico on Friday. They traveled south of the border to attend pal Kendhal Beal's wedding. Kristin, who was a bridesmaid, covered her baby bump in a red dress for the wedding rehearsal on Friday and kept her growing belly covered up during her afternoon in the sun. She wore a black cutout swimsuit to hang alongside shirtless Jay, and when they weren't chatting with pals, Kristin read a book in her lounge chair. Kristin announced her pregnancy in January, and since then, Kristin has shared her cravings for cupcakes and tacos on Twitter.

Did You Drink Fake Booze During Your First Trimester?

If you're a social creature who enjoys a glass of wine, it can be hard to hide a new pregnancy from your pals.

If you're a social creature who enjoys a glass of wine, it can be hard to hide a new pregnancy from your pals. Go out to dinner and skip ordering a glass of wine or stop by a party and stick to water, and you might as well be wearing a sign that says, "I'm knocked up!" I told people I was pregnant when I was only eight weeks along for this very reason.

But if you're not comfortable telling your girlfriends your big news until your first trimester is over, it can be a conundrum, one that some women solve by drinking faux booze. (Pomegranate juice makes a great fake red wine, by the way).

Kristin Cavallari went on Twitter to throw people offtrack, then had to backtrack a few weeks later. "I tweeted that I had margaritas a few weeks ago to throw ppl off cuz I had gotten a couple tweets about my pregnancy. I didn't really drink!" Would you follow Cavallari's footsteps and either drink faux alcohol or just tweet that you were? Weigh in below!

In true SoCal form, Kristin Cavallari chose a low-key outfit for her baby shower at the Abbey in West Hollywood. The mom-to-be paired cutoff shorts with a striped tee and leather military jacket by A.L.C. She finished off her rockin' party style with suede Christian Louboutin booties, black tights, and classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Take a cue from Ms. Cavallari and style your favorite cutoffs with stripes and leather, or for something more cozy, wear an oversize sweater with military boots. To make your cutoffs more East Coast, try a navy blazer and metallic boat shoes.

20s, 30s, or 40s: Which Decade Is Best For Becoming a Mom?

Just a couple of weeks after her 25th birthday, Kristin Cavallari announced she and fiancé Jay Cutler are expecting their first baby.

Just a couple of weeks after her 25th birthday, Kristin Cavallari announced she and fiancé Jay Cutler are expecting their first baby. Kristin joins fellow twenty-something soon-to-be mama Hilary Duff, who turned 24 last September. While both Kristin and Hilary reflect the national average age for women to become first time moms — it now stands at 25.1 years old — they certainly aren't the norm for celebs, many of whom wait until their 30s before they have a baby. Molly Sims is expecting a honeymoon baby at age 38 with hubby Scott Stuber. Jessica Simpson will welcome her firstborn at age 31, and Beyoncé became mom to Blue Ivy at 30. I had my daughter at 31 and I thought that was the perfect age — young enough to be able to cope with the lack of sleep in the beginning and, later, the high energy of a lil one, but old enough to not have any regrets about missing out on my carefree 20s. So what decade do you think is best for becoming a new mom? Weigh in below!
