Lady Gaga and Beyonce's Almost 10-Minute-Long "Telephone" Video — Bring It on or Little Too Long?

Lady Gaga and Beyonce Knowles's long-awaited video for "Telephone" came out last night, and it's filled with all the wacky costumes, interesting makeup styles, and dancing we've come to expect. We got a sneak peek at some stills a few weeks ago, but tell us what you think of the almost 10-minute end product — bring it on or little too long?

If anyone's looking for values or role models in a music video, they are looking in the wrong place.The song and video are supposed to be entertaining and just that (in GaGa style of course). I don't think the video is too long. I saw another version of the song on Fuse and liked that one better though.

'Stunning' video? I think its very predictable with the oversexed and overproduced element, it lacks ALOT of imagination but I guess its alot better than some of the s*&^ out there right now. I think the 'Paparazzi' video was much better.

If Madonna had written, in her first year the same amount of stand out hits as GAGA then she would have had my respect from the start. Give the girl a break she has made some of the best pop/dance records in recent history. I saw her in Glasgow and she was nothing short of incredible. She makes Madonna look desperate. it's refreshing to see a new strong female singer who can command an audience for 2 and a half hours. Her music is far more intelligent then any song by any female artist in decades. Genius is a talent that provokes jealousy The video is meant to look trashy & low rent, the women are meant to look hard maybe even like tacky drag in some shots too. It's just a peice of pop art for crying out loud. Why does a video have to convey the same message of a song anyway? show some imagination like the stunning video has.

Lady Gaga is still living up to her name and her own standards. You gotta respect that. Not sure how I feel about Beyonce going the Lady Gaga route, not sure it works for her as well as it does for Lady Gaga. And this 10 minute video just brings back the days when Michael Jackson turned his videos into mini-movies. His did have a better plot though. But who would win in a dance off...MJ or LG? Hmmm.

Ooh, dancing at a prison, how innovative! The video had too many, ahem, 'acting' interruptions to fully appreciate the song. It was so-so.

To even slightly compare this video, and any other 10min videos today, to Michael Jckson/Thriller is blasphemous. MJ started the epic video and stars today cant measure up. This video was low rent imo. And the dog scene was unnecessary.

The videos cool. I dont think its groundbreaking though, not even for Gaga, shes becoming abit predictable now. Just my opinion.

I know it's sort of supposed to be the continuation of paparazzi but the song doesn't really match the video I thought she was going to be in a club.. anyway I guess now we wait for the next crazy video and I do think it's better than videophone. I don;t know Beyonce seems to make a lot of lower budget videos instead of making less bigger ones.

Always thought this song was about people trying to call her while she was out dancing...hmm. Kind of over-the-top in a bad way. Too long. Just not my cup of tea.

oh god, i hope they dont continue it. horrible dancing, and gaga looks DISGUSTING in this video, and so does beyonce. i dont know WHAT the hell it is, but its nasty. they both look completely ugly and horrible in this video. and it has NOTHINGG to do with the song!!!! a music video shouldnt be more than one minute longer than the song, unless its a story video that has SOMETHING to do with the song!!!

Michael Jackson had some pretty long videos, but he also had a hell of a lot more talent. I do think Gaga can sing, she just chooses to make crappy music where you can't really tell instead. I really don't "get" her.

Uh okay, I don't get it. I thought it was bad and low class. I just hated the video. I don't get the appeal of LG but then again I don't have to. Will never watch again as long as I live.

I HATED the video. Ga Ga..I call her Yuck Yuck..has gone from shocking, to dumb, to just plain boring same old same old...I thought the entire thing was awful include Beyonce.

I loved it. I'm a big Lady gaga fan, not like an über fan but I love her more and more the more she does and I think this was really cool. I didn't think all of it related to the song but I still thought it was worth the 10 minutes out of my life. It's not really that much. we sit through almost that much time in commercials watching an hour long TV show so.. really...

LMAO at the opening line from the prison guard: "I told you she didn't have a d**k"!!!! Too funny!I enjoyed the whole creepy thing, but I agree with glamgal - why did the poor dog have to die? (I know, I should be concerned that the whole diner full of people died too... but c'mon, couldn't they have spared the dog?! Bring him along as a sidekick ;)).And finally, my favorite has to be the telephone hair when gaga's the waitress - complete with a spiral cord. GENIUS!
