Leo Continues to Tree Hug the World

Environmentally friendly Leo is certainly committed to making the world a better place. He started an eponymous Foundation to raise environmental awareness and he's financially supporting a child in Africa. He chooses to work on films that educate and inform such as Blood Diamond and the upcoming Conspiracy of Fools, about political corruption. As if that weren't enough, he's produced and narrated a documentary out this year called 11th Hour which also deals with environmental issues. All this and he's about to get into a Prius. Maybe next time he will remember to wear a coat in cold NYC since he has to probably pump up the heat in the car.

Im so proud of people who care passionately about things and work towards them. It's Angelina Jolie's only saving grace in my book. You have to admire them.

Lurv him. He's awesome as an actor and as a world-changer. But, I think he and Eric Dane look a lot alike. The first time I saw Eric Dane (McSteamy), I thought: Wow is that Leo's little cousin?

And as for the whole Al Gore debate, don't forget his statement on the matter- "Gore's family has taken numerous steps to reduce the carbon footprint of their private residence, including signing up for 100% green power through Green Power Switch, installing solar panels, and using compact fluorescent bulbs and other energy saving technology." • "Gore has had a consistent position of purchasing carbon offsets to offset the family's carbon footprint -- a concept the right-wing fails to understand." Now, think about all of the mansions in Hollywood owned by the celebrities we obsess about here all day. How many of them have taken these measures??

Why is he only supporting one child? Can't you pay like 25 cents a week or a day for so many years and support that way? If that's the case then he could easily do a whole country.
