You Won't Believe Liam Neeson's Story About Woody Allen's Affair

Mar 27 2014 - 10:55am

Liam Neeson's been acting for nearly four decades, and in recent years, he's become a serious action star. In addition to many roles in the works, Liam's had multiple hits with action-packed thrillers, including Non-Stop, which took first place at the box office when it was released last month. Before his career turned him into a big-screen hero, though, Liam had a role in Woody Allen's 1992 romantic comedy, Husbands and Wives. Liam talked to GQ [1] about working with Woody, sharing a revealing story about when Mia Farrow found out about his affair with her adopted daughter Soon-Yi, who is now Allen's wife. Liam's account is especially timely, given recent accusations that Woody abused Dylan Farrow [2], his adopted daughter:

"It was a good experience. There was a lull; a quiet came over the set when he came on. We were out at 4 in the afternoon. It was f*cking great. However, there was one incident — people think I've made this up, but no. There's a scene where I'm going down on Judy Davis, right? Judy and I are in bed — obviously covered up — and as I'm going down, Judy's having this monologue in her head. And the crew are all ready, and we're waiting for Woody. No-show. It's starting to get a bit uncomfortable — it's a bed scene. Anyway, he came out after about 20 minutes and said, 'OK. Camera starts on Judy. Liam, I want to just see the top of your head. OK, we know where you're going . . . ' So there was no apology; nothing. What happened: his lawyer had gotten in touch with him to say Ms. Farrow has found naked photographs of her adopted daughter [Soon-Yi]."
