Naomi Watts and a shirtless Liev Schreiber ran some errands with their boys, Sasha and Kai, in LA yesterday. Naomi went for an easy Sunday look in jeans and a t-shirt, while Liev went supercasual in gym shorts and no shirt. Naomi recently flew back to LA after stopping over at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday to premiere her new film, Two Mothers, with costars Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville. However, she couldn't stay in Utah for too long since she still has a busy award season ahead of her. Naomi is expected to attend the SAG Awards on Jan. 27, where she is nominated for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role for The Impossible. Naomi is up against Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Lawrence, and Helen Mirren for the award. After the SAGs are done, Naomi has the Oscars to look forward to as she is up for the award for best actress.
Naomi Watts had Liev Schreiber by her side as she walked the carpet at the Golden Globes in LA Thursday night. She chose a Zac Posen gown for the occasion. Naomi is up for best actress for her role in The Impossible, which has garnered plenty of recognition this award season. She was also nominated at the Critics' Choice Awards on Thursday night and will be back in the spotlight next month at the Oscars, where she's up for the best actress honor as well.

Liev Schreiber, who stars in the network's upcoming Ray Donovan, attended with Naomi Watts, who is in the running for best actress. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber attended Saturday's G'Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala at the city's JW Marriott. The event was organized to acknowledge the cultural impact of Australian goods and culture, and Naomi was surrounded by many of her countrymen and women. Also out was Naomi's good friend Nicole Kidman, who posed with husband Keith Urban. Toni Collette, Teresa Palmer, and Rose Byrne showed their Aussie pride, as did Hugh Jackman's wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. The ladies dressed to the nines for the afternoon event, which was the tenth annual G'Day party. Nicole was in Elie Saab, Rose in Diane von Furstenberg, and Naomi in pink Gucci. This year, a handful of Australians were recognized in particular, including Rose.
Showtime has brought us many addictive dramas over the past few years, and new series Ray Donovan may be its next hit. Liev Schreiber stars as the title character: a "fixer" and private investigator who cleans up shady situations and also has a complicated family life, mainly due to his villainous ex-con father, played by Jon Voight. The cast — which also includes Elliott Gould, Dash Mihok, and The Hunger Games' Paula Malcomson — came to TCA with the showrunners to talk about the gritty new series, and why the actors wanted to participate in it.
- Schreiber joked about how his character Ray doesn't really talk, and he cracked, "The older I get, the more I look for less lines." Joking aside, he likes that about Ray: "It's a nice quality. As someone who feels compelled to talk more than I should, it's pretty healthy for me to play a character like this." And of coming to TV, Schreiber admitted to being daunted by the idea that he's playing a character who will grow over time. "I'm scared, but I'm excited about the process."
- Malcomson, who plays Ray's wife, is probably best known for playing Katniss's mother in The Hunger Games. Malcomson compared that role to her role in Ray Donovan, because they're both mothers, but there's a big difference. Whereas in The Hunger Games, she said, "sh*t happens — she loses her husband," and her character essentially abandons her kids, in Ray Donovan, she's "all about her kids."
- Voight knows that his casting as malevolent Mickey Donovan didn't come out of nowhere. "I've played some pretty strange characters. People come up to me constantly and say, 'You play such a great villain.' . . . That work probably landed me this part," he said. Not that he minds playing the bad guy. Mickey "has a lot of dimensions. I'm excited to be playing the part," Voight said.
- If you happen to catch the promo for Ray Donovan, listen closely to the theme: that's Ryan Gosling. Showtime President David Nevins informed us that Gosling (who has a band, Dead Man's Bones) wrote and performed the song for the series.
Liev Schreiber doted on his son Sasha while out in LA yesterday. He ran errands with Sasha while mom Naomi Watts stayed home to prepare for the Critics' Choice Awards later that night. Both Naomi and Liev attended the event, with Naomi wearing an Emilio Pucci black gown and Liev in a navy suit. Naomi was nominated for best actress for her role in The Impossible but was beat by Zero Dark Thirty's Jessica Chastain. However, Naomi has plenty of more chances to win an accolade for her performance. She was nominated for best actress for Sunday's Golden Globes and the Oscars. Kate Bosworth and Naomi Watts hit the black carpet at last night's Audi Golden Globes kickoff bash in LA. The get-together marked the end of a big weekend for Naomi, who picked up an honor at Saturday's Palm Springs International Film Festival gala. She accepted the statue with a word of thanks for her two sons, Sasha and Kai, attributing their energy to "breathing life" into her performances. Another of Naomi's main men, her partner, Liev Schreiber, was on her arm for the party. They coordinated with Liev in a suit and Naomi in black Roland Mouret. Kate Bosworth, fresh off a big 30th birthday celebration, arrived with her fiancé, Michael Polish. Kate stuck with the black theme, donning Emilio Pucci. Kate and Naomi mingled among a star-studded crowd that included Modern Family buddies Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen, as well as Bryan Cranston, Louise Roe, and Jamie Chung.
Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber continued their island getaway on New Year's Eve, wading in the waves together and getting their sons, Sasha and Kai, outfitted to do some snorkeling. The family of four also went boating during their afternoon on the water, and Naomi and Liev got some alone time as they held hands and waded in the waves.
Naomi Watts and her family escaped to St. Barts for a holiday getaway over the weekend. On Saturday, she and Liev Schreiber took their sons, Sasha and Kai Schreiber, to the beach, where they played in the waves. Naomi showed off her bikini body, adding to the many sexy bikini moments of 2012, while Liev went shirtless. Yesterday, she swapped her blue two-piece for an animal-print suit and another sandy afternoon with her boys. They explored the rocks, and she tried her hand at stand-up paddleboarding with a friend. Naomi and Liev had an adults-only outing today though, when they went for a morning swim as a couple. It looks like the family of four will be celebrating New Year's on the island — tell us, which Hollywood guy would you want to kiss at midnight?
Hugh Jackman got a little support from his famous friends when he was honored by the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC last night. Hugh's Les Misérables costars Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne were on the scene to help celebrate his honor. Their director, Tom Hooper, also turned out, as did Hugh's pal Liev Schreiber. The event happened on the eve of today's SAG Award nominations, where Hugh and his costars got lots of love. Their nods included including best ensemble, best actor for Hugh, and best supporting actress for Anne.
Although Anne went dark and dramatic in Tom Ford at Monday's Les Misérables film premiere, she opted for a light-pink and silver Nina Ricci dress yesterday. Anne recently opened up about her now infamous wardrobe malfunction at the premiere, calling the experience "devastating."
