Lindsay Lohan Released From Rehab After 23 Days

Lindsay Lohan is a free woman today after she was released from the neuropsychiatric hospital at UCLA. Despite being sentenced to spend 90 days under medical care, she was able to leave after just 23. She was also able to exit jail early and spent only 14 days at the Lynwood Correctional Facility. It became clear that Lindsay would be allowed to go home early once the sentencing judge was removed from her case. Many of you aren't interested in hearing Lindsay's post rehab and jail story, but in the immediate future, Lindsay's likelier to spend time with her family while continuing outpatient treatment.

The original judge didn't make a mistake. Lindsay was using drugs and abusing alcohol. Her family has a history of addiction. She had two DUI's and three failed attempts at rehab. Judges order 90 days almost all the time for criminal offenders. That way the doctors have sufficient time to make an accurate diagnosis. If the doctor decides less (and often times more) inpatient time is needed the judge rewrites the sentence to coincide with the diagnosis and treatment plan. Judges don't really want addicts locked up. They want them to get better and become productive members of society.

i'm not at all surprised that she was released early - and even earlier than we had anticipated. i think that they wanted to avoid the papps nonsense, and well i think that with the new judge on the case, they realized that there may have been some bias. let's just hope that this time that she's spent both in jail and rehab will do her good.

Felicia... Linds is their cash cow... if they upset her (ie: tell her the truth) she would probably cut them off financially... then what would they do?! Not a good reason, but I am tipping that is why. They should really just say 'Lindsay, all the partying and drugs you do- even prescription- are RUINING your looks. You look like you're in your 30s'- if anything, I think telling her she is getting ugly might work. Haha. I do hope Lindsay makes a comeback.

That's what is so sad about this girl. Everyone knows how this story is going to end unless Lindsay gets some serious help. I'm only 22 years old and I can see that. It stuns me that all of the people surrounding her can't recognize the fact that she's in trouble. It's like watching a car wreck that no one else can see. It breaks my heart.
