Lindsay Lohan had a weekend of late nights out and at least one sleepover with Samantha in London before they headed to Heathrow together today. LL took a break from the partying to address Dr. Drew, who spoke about her in a recent interview. He said, "I'm convinced that she'll get sober one day. But I'm afraid that between now and then, she may get a nearly mortal wound of some type. . . I have this image that she's going to lose a limb or something before she does." Lindsay twittered in response, "I thought REAL doctors talk to patients in offices behind closed doors. Am I wrong? Hmmmmm. I think NOT! Yay!" While she has a point about Dr. Drew, he has lots of experience working with celebrities in concerning situations. So, tell us — whose side are you on?
LL isn't his patient and Dr. Drew can make any comment he wants publicly.
I thought this hot mess was supposed to be getting serious for some film role. I thought she wasn't gonna be partying and out at night as much.
1i actually understand where she's coming from on this one. it's hard to think about being a celeb and having just about EVERYONE pass judgment on everything that you do. he may be right - but using his name the way that he is to get people and perhaps her to listen maybe isn't the best way to go.
2Go Dr. Drew! He's speaking the truth. Apparently Lindsay is not used to hearing it from her circle of enablers.
3I choose this option - who cares what he says, and who cares what she thinks about what he says.
Clearly I hate her, and although he's a doctor, no one outside celebreality really knows who he is.
4this is what he knows about, he deals with it all the time. It's obvious she's still a mess. Even if she's not drinking, she's just a dry drunk, doing all the same things, not working on her recovery.
5did she gain weight in her thighs? anywho, Dr Drew is probably right but if this dumb b**** loses a limb, it'll be b/c she got soooo high, she thought a live chainsaw was a cigarette and tried to smoke it
6Totally unprofessional but not necessarily innacurate.
7I agree with Love Angelina, she is not a patient of his, he can make any comment he wants. They said it was an interview; I have to wonder if he wasn't asked his opinion in this interview. Like all addicts, she just hates to hear the truth.
8I'm not really a LL fan, but he probably shouldn't have said anything. Since she's not his client, it's really none of his business. And making the comments that he did to the media is only going to create drama.
9f'ed up celebrities are kind of dr. drew's specialty. he's not her doctor, he's allowed to make comments (just like we are all doing here on this blog). especially considering dr. drew is doing an interview promoting a show about celebrity rehabilitation.
10True or not, it's none of his business. He probably just used her name because he knew the blogs would pick it up and give him more attention... He isn't HER doctor, and if he was he'd have to keep it confidential. He's just a famewh*re, I think that was really tacky of him.
11Also, lots of kids drink and party too much while they're young... not everyone needs rehab to grow up eventually. I understand the gravity of addiction and the havoc it creates all too well, but I've never gotten the impression that Lohan's anything more than an average party girl. If she wasn't famous and was in college right now, she would blend right in with all the other drunks and no one would notice.
12Drew Pinsky is very qualified to give an opinion - he's been doing this a long time, is very intelligent, and seems to care a great deal about people. He was asked during an interview and answered honestly, and anyone who follows LiLo's shenanigans knows he's probably unfortunately right on the money.
13They are both an absolute waste of space.
14she needs help, all of us can see it except for her i guess....
15what is he, psychic now? If he was concerned i think there were other ways to express it... talking about "i see her losing a limb" just makes him sound crazy.
16weffie Im so agreed with you!!!
17Mr. Drew is not an ethic doctor, he can go to jail because of those comments. If he really wants to help LINDSAY LOHAN he can get in touch with her in the professional way.
18I like Dr. Drew, but he's more of a celebrity himself than a real doctor. I'd have more respect for him if he told her in private, and didn't carry on with reality shows.
19I'm on neither side.
But both sides actually have it kind of right LOL.
LL most likely will not sober up until she loses a limb or something and Drew needs to just shut his trap up sometimes
Maybe someone asked him about LL that's why he made that comment? I mean, that's pretty random to be focusing on LL all of the sudden, like she's relevant again? Or did Dr.
But. All in all. He can voice his opinion (I didn't read/know if he's giving his opinion in a professional manner or just in an interview for some random publication about LL), just like I can. Then again, so can she. And so can everyone.
20There is a difference bw lindsay and a normal college student drinking on the weekends. First of all, she is not a normal college student and she is barely working bc she can't handle it. Maybe if all she had to do was roll into some electives in the morning and study during the day she could pass it off as an "age" thing. But she doesn't act like that, she acts like an addict.
21LIndsay. I'm sick of hearing all these nobodies with TV shows talk about real celebrities to get attention. It's none of his business.
22Dr. Drew sucks.... his show sucks.. so booooring...
23Dr. Drew's comments are not going to encourage Lindsay (or anyone else for that matter) to seek help. I do, however, think Lindsay is self-destructive. I remember her on the revamped Parent Trap - she was SO cute!
24I don't even think Dr. Drew can help this girl!
25She does need help clearly, but it is very true that a "real" doctor shouldn't be airing something like this out publicly. It comes down to the fact that he is much more of a TV/radio personality than a real doctor. They're both ridiculous.
26It is unprofessional for a doctor to air his opinions so publicly.
