the wrist in the picture isn't fractured looking at all, and the other one is obviously healthy enough to hold up a camera....umm and an EKG for a broken wrist? I don't know a lot about medicine, but something else is going on here. Was she actually "hospitolized", as in admitted to be treated and monitored, or was the word misused for dramatic effect?

BlondeSugar's right, she totally took these pics of herself. I'm sure she "leaked" them hoping for sympathy, but all they do is document the fact that her "broken" wrist wasn't the least bit swollen or bruised while she was at St. Vincent's. I've been to the ER at St. Vincent's here in NYC and (probably like most ERs) if you b*tch enough they'd give anyone a wrist brace. I'm no doctor, but as far as I know the preferred mode of healing a double wrist fracture is still a hard cast which LL does not have.

LL is a really sick girl who needs to get help that her irresponsible mother and her check-cashing PR rep are not providing.

I also call BS on her claims that she has asthma. She busted a blood vessel in her throat puking on New Year's Eve and when people at the Miami club saw her being taken away with blood on her suddenly she had asthma. An esophageal hemorrhage like that comes from chronic vomiting (see bulimia) not a one-time thing and not asthma.

Also, why does someone with so much money go to the emergency room so much? Puking up blood in the middle of the night is one thing, but she's always going to the ER. She's in Manhattan all the time. Why doesn't she have a private doctor here like the celebrities who don't want to live there lives in the public eye? Well I guess I answered my own question.

Mean Girls is the first and last movie of hers I'll see. It's humanly impossible to watch her without thinking "I'm watching Lindsay Lohan playing this character". Stars like Leonardo DiCaprio are right to cover their faces no matter how silly it seems. At least I was able to watch "The Aviator" and suspend disbelief enough to view him as Howard Hughes.

Rosie O'Donnell is right about Lindsay Lohan: she needs to go to rehab for her eating disorder and other problems. It's just sad.

The patches on her chest are interesting as well. Usually they're put on during an ekg to check heart situations. Why would she have them on for a fractured wrist?

My 5 year old just had a fractured wrist recently. First of all, she could use it her wrist just like normal. It was tender and a little swollen, but not bruised at all. You could only tell it was fractured from the xray (and even then the fracture wasn't obvious to someone who is not a technician). The problem with the injury is that if she fell on it again, she could have injured it much worse.

Also, they don't hard cast if they can avoid it for a few days after the fracture - so the swelling has time to go down before they put the cast on.
