Lo Bosworth was spotted outside Katsuya in Hollywood looking adorable in her relatively simple ensemble. She kept the color scheme neutral — black, tan, gray, but added a hint of print and color with her scarf. Upping the cool factor was the black Balenciaga bag she carried. Reality shows seem to be quite a source for finance tips. I recently talked about some personal finance lessons I learned from Jersey Shore, but apparently The Hills is another unexpected fountain of savvy knowledge. Lauren Conrad had her best friend, birthday girl Lo Bosworth, by her side at Teen Vogue's Young Hollywood party in LA on Friday — get her dressy shorts look here. The guest list also included Emma Roberts, Kelly Osbourne, and Nikki Reed, though LC emerged as one of the night's best dressed. LC's been working hard on her clothing line for Kohl's, but she'll soon switch gears to promote her two new books Sugar and Spice and Lauren Conrad Style. She landed in NYC today to kick off her nationwide book tour, which is just the beginning of her busy Fall. LC's also getting started on the new reality show that takes her back to the network that launched her career, MTV.

The white carpet at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards was full of bold fashion choices and beautiful ladies alongside plenty of hot guys. Lady Gaga didn't disappoint in a dramatic Alexander McQueen ensemble, while Katy Perry paired colorful hair and her nail art with a barely there Marchesa dress. She met Russell at last year's VMAs and while he wasn't by her side this time, he was on her manicure. Rosario Dawson kept it simple in a leather-like purple number, and Emma Stone opted for the real thing with a short LBD. Ashley Greene represented the Twilight cast in lacy black and white, and presenter Sofia Vergara's sparkles rounded out the group of glam girls, which also included the ladies of The Hills. With Fashion Week kicking off, celebrities are stepping up the style game. Of course, to add to the mix, there are parties, movie premieres, and fabulous fashion dressed up and down. It was a lot of ground to cover, so did you take it all in?
To celebrate the launch of her blog, The Lo Down, Lo Bosworth chose a fresh and flirty body-con French Connection Dance Daisy Dress ($158). With a bold print and a sweet hemline, she didn't need much to top the look: simple gold jewels, sky-high pumps ($152), and for some extra wow, a green Chanel handbag. The Hills alum Lo Bosworth recently posted a photo on her blog of her updo still in good form the morning after a party at the SoHo House in LA. While I'm certainly impressed by the state of her tresses, what really caught my eye is this peek at her bedroom. Notably, her walls are painted a mimosa yellow with irregular patches of gray and oyster paint layered on top of it. I guess this cool, artsy wall treatment is proof that the pale yellow and gray trend prevails!
I love Lo's sophisticated nailhead trim headboard, her marble, urn-shaped table lamp, and her oyster shell bowl. I have no doubt she's a traditionalist at heart. I would love to see more of this room, but this photo is all I'm working with. Based on the color palette and the few elements we can see, I thought I'd help you re-create the style of a soft, fresh bedroom with a few chic furnishings. I'm sure she'd approve of my choices.
