The MTV Video Music Awards brought out plenty of lovely ladies on the black carpet in LA tonight. Pregnant Beyoncé Knowles stole the show though when she stepped out in a red Lanvin gown flaunting a baby bump! The sexy looks kept coming with newlywed Kim Kardashian in a skintight cutout gown and Britney Spears, who was honored with a special tribute, rocked a sequined Moschino romper with Jason Trawick by her side. Presenter Katie Holmes came out in booties and a knee-length dress while preshow host Selena Gomez got glam in black lace. Miley Cyrus went bold in Roberto Cavalli and Zoe Saldana rocked a black and gold Barbara Bui number. I’d also like a legitimate explanation as to why Katie Holmes was there to give out one of the biggest MTV awards of the night. When she presents at acting awards shows at least it’s plausible—even though she herself has never come close to being nominated or winning a major acting award. But to appear here really exemplifies how Tom Cruise buys her jobs. She is no longer even in the MTV generation demographic to be relevant to it. Being aware of that, her smirk and weird pose are really quite a bit annoying.

Zoe looks fab, as does Beyonce of course! Adele has big hair, but still looks gorgeous. Mileys dress is awful, Katie is posing like a 13 year old (and WHY is she there?) but I love her hair. Is that Nicki Minaj under that crazy outfit?!

Beyonce stole the show and not only because she's pregnant, she looks amazing! The others are just not up to par. I kind of like Selena's dress as well but none of the others.

Katie Holmes and Britney Spears give off the same kind of vibe but Katie has a little more life in her. I give her two years until she reaches the dead eyes stage. Britney is done. She can't speak properly anymore let alone perform but she does make good gym music, I'll give her that.
