Madonna Gets Vandalized

Someone isn't down with Madonna or her new collection at H&M and they took it out on a 250 square foot image in London on Tuesday. The vandals sabotaged the H&M ad by climbing the scaffolding it was attached to, cutting a hole in her eye and then pouring neon green paint through it. Supposedly it's being replaced any day now for an estimated $12,000. No one has taken credit for the vandalism, and at that price we doubt they ever will.

It brings some color into the wardrobe! I agree that it was a nice touch! It's a bit plain with me though, the line.

I was in H&M the other day. The clothes Madonna designed are nothing special! Very boring actually, and mostly black and white.

I totally dig it! It seems to me maybe a play on religious statues and icons that weep. It would be fitting that Madonna (the icon of materialisim) weeps acid tears - as someone else put it. I think H&M and Madonna should take it down and leave it down or leave it as it is!!!

Tt would have been even more awesome if it was scarlet red paint. Or they could have at least cut the hole through her nose and let the green paint run from there... hehehe

I love the "acid tears" comment! They totally should have done both eyes. The picture is so boring, it totally spiced it up. Madonna's people are NOT upset about this, as much as they may protest. Madonna is the kind of person who loves - nay THRIVES - on free publicity and scandals. Hell, she practically invented the no publicity is bad publicity mantra.
