Can one shade can work for every skin tone? In the case of Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge #8 ($24), it just might. This fire-engine-red hue was made especially for Madonna's worldwide tour by her makeup artist, Gina Brooke. (It's waterproof, smudge-proof, and crease-proof, too.) Brooke created the color for her star client, but she made sure that this lipstick looks good on any complexion — so we tried it to see if it fit all of ours. Read on to see the results.

With model-mom Jerry Hall's stunning bone structure and dad Mick's iconic gap-toothed pout — not to mention both parents' rock 'n' roll vibe — the 5'7" progeny-turned-muse has already been featured in scores of magazines, from American Vogue to i-D. She's also been photographed by the likes of Mario Sorrenti and Hedi Slimane, fronted major campaigns for Chanel and Versace, and has long-standing contracts with Hudson Jeans and Rimmel London.

"To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing," Jagger said of her latest endeavor, the back-to-school campaign for junior line Material Girl, which bows this Summer. "My agent received a call from the Material Girl team saying Lola and Madonna wanted to work together with me. From talking with Lola, she and her mum liked my style and thought it would be a good fit," Jagger elaborated. "I've always admired Madonna's style and I'm thrilled to be working with her and Lola. I dressed up like her for a school dance once!"

Jean Paul Gaultier may be on this year's panel of judges for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, but there was a time when his avant-garde style kept him on the other side of the velvet rope. In a recent interview, the designer says it was only his friendship with Madonna that helped him gain access to the various screenings and parties at Cannes.

"I have been refused at the Festival de Cannes," he said. "Yes! First time, I was in a tuxedo but with shorts. Black. And second time I was with a kilt with tuxedo. Refused again. But the third time, I came with Madonna — I was in bed with Madonna . . . she was like my passport, so I got through it."

Gaultier famously designed the cone-shaped bustiers Madonna wore on her 1990 Blond Ambition Tour, among other costumes. He was named to this year's panel of Cannes judges along with actors Diane Kruger and Ewan McGregor.
