Marcia Covers Up for a Good Cause

Marcia and her husband Tom took newborn twins, Savannah and Eden out for some shopping in Santa Monica this weekend. Marcia hasn't let motherhood slow her down any. Besides wedding showers and Desperate Housewives, she's also teaming up with Olay and the American Society for Dermatological Surgery to help prevent skin cancer. Based on her big hat and how she covers up her babies you can tell she is serious about the cause.

Sailing chick is right though, the sun and being outdoors in general is very good for you in moderation. She could just be covering her baby up because of all the paps though. I know I wouldn't want a ton of people taking shots of my new baby!

She looks great...however, I'm not totally convinced with the whole covering your kids up to protect them from the sun. The sun, if taken in moderation and sun screen used, is actually very good for you it contains vitamins that you're not able to get from any where else. Why is that people go to extremes - ie no sun or all sun and turn red (or orange in Paris's case). When will people learn MODERATION

I'm glad she's doing something positive and spreading the message about skin cancer. Those of us with fair skin have to be very careful about being out and about every day- I'm glad that she's setting a good example and taking care of the little ones too
