He showed off his restored muscular physique in a white tank top after shedding a drastic amount of weight for his recent role in The Dallas Buyers Club, which he also filmed in NOLA last year. Matthew reported to his new set after making a stop at SXSW for the screening of his latest film, Mud, over the weekend.
While Matthew gets to work in New Orleans, his wife, Camila Alves, has been taking care of business in NYC. Camila made multiple outfit changes to promote I.N.C. The Independent Spirit Awards took place in LA today with stars stepping out ahead of tomorrow's Oscars. Many of award season's biggest names, including Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, walked the pink carpet and, once inside, mingled with other nominees and presenters. Matthew McConaughey arrived at the Spirit Awards in Santa Monica today with his wife, Camila Alves, by his side. Matthew is up for the best supporting actor award for his film Magic Mike, and the best actor honor for Killer Joe. He's also presenting an award, along with Salma Hayek, Channing Tatum, and Kerry Washington. Camila wore an eye-catching pink Escada gown and H.Stern earrings for the daytime event, while Matthew sported shades and a pair of blue suede shoes.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves stopped by a bakery in New Orleans on Monday. It was an extraspecial outing for the couple since they were celebrating Camila's 30th birthday. She tweeted about the milestone, saying, "Today I am 30 years old, Livingston is 30 days old, and I'm blessed with 3 healthy children . . . I am so thankful and full of joy!" Camila's heading into another year with her growing family, which now includes Livingston, who was born in December. Camila debuted Livingston during a park outing over the weekend after also spending time with her older children, Levi and Vida.
The now fivesome is currently living in Louisiana while Matthew works on the HBO series True Detective and the location also happens to be the home of this year's Super Bowl. Matthew has attended the big game in years past, though we'll have to wait and see which celebrities step out for Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday.
