The McDonald's Hip-Hop Outreach program
The McDonald's Hip-Hop Outreach program

McDonald's is hoping to pay for a new kind of product placement. They want to include "Big Mac" within their lyrics and in return McD's will pay the rap musicians $1 to $5 each time a song is played on the air. NY Daily News points out that Hip-Hop artists in the past have had shout outs to their favorite products for example, Run DMC's "My Addidas."
For McDonald's, they hope to reach the urbanite audience, for some artists it may be a great way to make big buck this summer. Who do you think will sell out first?
