Meet Your New Starlets: The Kids Of Gossip Girl

The up and coming stars of Gossip Girl got together in NYC last night to celebrate their salacious new show about rich Manhattan teens. I'm definitely excited for this one, but what can I say - there's no resisting the Josh Schwartz Effect. Naturally, all the little starlets looked fabulous at their big premiere - especially the girls like Blake Lively (who plays Serena van der Woodsen and is best known for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) and little Taylor Momsen (who is actually 14 and was Cindy Lou Who in The Grinch - love it). See, I'm learning their names already - who knows, could be the next R-Bils. Speaking of Blake Lively - Buzz had a chance to sit down with the new TV star and talk to her about playing Serena and what it's like to adapt such a well loved book series. Gossip Girl premieres tonight at 9 on the CW - I can't wait, you?

Because they're pretty and white kids and they have problems too. Pretty Pretty. Pretty white kids with problems, did I mention that they are pretty too? Pretty Pretty. Pretty white kids with problems. There isn't black kid to be seen ... Thats because this show is about pretty white kids with problems.

Saw it. Loved the books before them but wasn't into this. I sense an addiction, though.The club scene always does it for me. Probably because I grew up in that scene. My best friend's dad owned a club and I was there almost every day setting up. Haha.

i thought it was okay. i will be tuning in though to see if it gets better. i enjoyed the music they used, which makes sense because its the same person in charge from the O.C. The fashion didn't impress me. I did enjoy seeing them all around NYC, my home.

I really loved the premiere last night! This will definitely fulfill my OC void and keep me happy til OTH returns!! Plus I've always been a sucker for all the teen drama shows!

I was highly disappointed by Gossip girl. I'll prob watch the next few episodes to see if it gets any better but eh. It was too much the storyline seems as if the writers were trying too hard to make it engaging. Bring back VM this show is a poor substitute

i actually liked it. whats there not to like really? but i wish there was more diversity among them. i know there was an Asian and black girl as the backgrounders but still i hope they get more screen time in the episodes to come because I'll sure be watching.
