Last week I told you that we'd be getting a posthumous album from Michael Jackson, and though you'll have to wait until Dec. 14 to hear it in its entirety, today you can hear the first single, "Breaking News."

The lyrics deal with the world's perception of Jackson before his untimely death, specifically the paparazzi and scandal that seemed to follow his every move. It's quite the production,
from the sensationalized intro of blaring MJ-related headlines to the pop singer's signature "Oooh!" But the chorus is ridiculously catchy, and I can't imagine this song not becoming a hit — or at least played out like crazy. Give it a listen when you read more

Buzz In: What's Your Favorite Michael Jackson Song?

It's been almost a year and a half since Michael Jackson passed away, and his posthumous legacy continues beyond last year's documentary This Is It.

It's been almost a year and a half since Michael Jackson passed away, and his posthumous legacy continues beyond last year's documentary This Is It. A new album, titled Michael, is set to debut Dec. 14, with original tracks that the King of Pop recorded before his death (the album art is pictured here). The first single is called "Breaking News" and will be released on Monday.

Though I'm very curious to hear the never-released material, I have a feeling it'll make me nostalgic for old MJ tracks. "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "PYT" are still in constant rotation on my iPod, and I still love Jackson 5 songs like "I Want You Back." So before you're exposed to a slew of new songs from the legend, tell me now — what are your favorite Michael Jackson songs?

Michael Jackson's "Thriller" Will Be Made Into a Movie

Michael Jackson's legacy continues: according to insiders, "Thriller" is on its way to the big screen. GK Films is in talks to acquire the rights to adapt the iconic music video with Kenny Ortega (High School Musical, This Is It) in the director's chair, and the script centers on "the song's folklore, involving Vincent Price and the town he grew up in." Pardon my skepticism, but isn't touching "Thriller" somewhat sacrilegious? What say you?
