Michael Jackson's "This Is It" — Truly It or Not So Much?

A previously unreleased single of Michael Jackson's called "This Is It" just came out. The song is the first off a forthcoming album and movie of the same name, which will feature remastered versions of some of his greatest hits and a few more unheard tracks. This one isn't exactly danceable, but it's a Michael ballad. So tell us what you think of the new song — truly it or not so much?

People are so full of crap about him. If this song had come out the day before he died, it would be about 85% voting they aren't into it because it is simply nothing special. And up until the day he OD'ed he was still a punch line - at his best - in this country, and a criminal (in the heart of public opinion) at his worst.

Don't hate it, don't love it. I liked Invincible, there was a ballad called Butterflies, that was per-ty great imo.

This song is very pretty, but it's clearly an unfinished demo. Overall, it's nice, but could have been more if Michael finished it. But, Michael Jackson's second rate work is still miles ahead of other artist's first rate work. If Lady Gaga is what is considered good music these days, then This is It, will go down in HIStory with the likes of Mozart.

not so much- he lost it a long time ago. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You think its a new song? That song was supposedly made at the end of the 70s early 80's. Unless you didn't like his work after he turned 15 years-old. LOL I'll say... not bad.

I've always preferred his slower song to the fast ones because they are actually very touching. I don't care if Michael didn't intend to release this; I still like it

Yeah, he didn't want that song on any of his albums. it was finally recorded by another artist in 1991. Not bad , maybe I'll warm up to it. But its not on par with his masterpieces.
