For Miley Cyrus, Getting a New Puppy Has Been Bittersweet

Mere days after the sudden death of her dog Floyd, Miley Cyrus received a surprise from her mom Tish: a new puppy. "My mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses," she tweeted with a photo of the cute canine on Friday. After getting to know Moonie for a day, Miley took to Twitter on Saturday to share her mixed emotions. "So torn. I love having little Moonie cuddle w me and Mary Jane but just don't know if I'm ready to love again," she wrote.

The singer has been candid about her mourning process since losing Floyd, speaking about him at a recent concert on her Bangerz tour. "My dog . . . I shouldn't say he was my favorite, but he was my favorite. He passed away," she told her audience in Boston on Wednesday. Before belting out Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," Miley acknowledged the song's meaning in light of Floyd's death. "It's gonna be hard for me to sing this next song," she said. "I'm not sounding myself. I don't feel myself."

After losing Floyd and gaining Moonie, Miley now has four dogs in her pack, including Bean, Mary Jane, and Happy. Despite the toll the changes have taken on her, it seems Miley is trying her best to look forward. "Can't wait to introduce Bean and Happy to Moonie. Currently soakin up some Moonie & Mary Jane.... so many emotions I am exhausted," she wrote in another tweet. Sources: Getty/Vallery Jean/FilmMagic and Twitter user mileycyrus
