I was one of the millions who was mesmerized by James Frey's book, A Million Little Pieces. In fact, Oprah made it her book club title last fall so millions more were reading this book thanks to her. Well it turns out we were all sucked into a story that was not so real.

Kottke has a great round up of the story which includes an investigation on The Smoking Gun regarding James' not so terrible arrests. There were no mug shots of the man who was wanted in three states. The book has already been optioned as a movie and we heard even LL wants to play Lilly. So maybe this story may not be all true, but clearly people were into it so it should make for a great movie, and isn't that all a writer really wants anyway? Either way, it was a great read and I'm happy to have spent my time enjoying it.
