Most Awkward Moment on Idol: High Five or Bikini B*tch?
Last night American Idol returned with plenty of awkward moments. First up was Katrina Darrell, aka the girl with no clothes who wanted to make out with Ryan. As if Simon's gawking weren't enough, Paula and new judge Kara DioGuardi got into a singoff with her. Then there was the final audition with Scott MacIntyre. The blind contestant had a heartfelt audition, which resulted in a well-deserved ticket to Hollywood. It was awesome until Ryan tried to give him a high five and was obviously left hanging. We almost LOST it last night when we watched him try to give him a high five. IDIOT. I love that they aired that
1Wow! I didn't watch idol and I love the clips you posted. I think Kara was actually intimidated by the bikini girl, though I see where she was coming from in that bikini girl wasn't singing it with the right rhythm, she was singing it very well despite that.

3Ryan is having a rough week.. snubbed by Brangelina and then attempts to high five a blind guy and forced to kiss a girl. He looked like it was painful. And they played Perry's I kissed a girl in the background. Kathy Griffith just exploded in happiness for all the material that just gave her.

but i thought the high five was way more awkward. Like ryan put his hand up then it took a full 10 seconds for him to realize what the heck he was doing, and his save was priceless.

6They were both pretty awkward...the high five made me sad..for Ryan. But the kiss made me laugh. The look on his face..I was hoping he would push the b*tch in the pool!

Ryan giving the guy a high five was absolutely strange, but I'm sure he didnt do it on purpose.
12yeah, I thought the most horrible moment of that clip was when she called her a b*tch. It's not the best way to approach an argument with an attention seeking twit in a bikini, but then I don't know anything about that judge... maybe she's as dumb as a brick in a bucket and has nothing else to come back with?
In any case, it's really about time that people stopped giving these attention seeking twits in no clothes the time of day, let alone giving them prime time tv coverage and a ticket to Hollywood.

13I think the most awkward moment was when bikini girl went up and kissed Ryan, she was kind of pathetic but definitely entertaining; although, I think Kara sang much better than she did. At first I was surprised Simon could be so easily swayed by a bikini, but I think he picked her more for the entertainment value she might bring to the show. I personally will enjoy watching her get axed.
14I was surprised that Bikini Girl could sing. Be a b*tch, be in a bikini, get your tan...just as long as you have the pipes to back it up. Respect!
15Bikini girl wasn't awful, but she wasn't fantastic either. She seemed nervous and was over compensating by showing skin, eh, let her at least she had the body for it.
16And the high five was another reason Seacrest is a lame excuse for a "celebrity", ew.
I admire that girl's cojones for showing up in a bikini... but I must admit, I was surprised by her voice. While it wasn't amazing, it was still good. I don't think Kara needed to make that demonstration... It just made her look jealous and petty. Paula was right (never thought I'd ever write that one down), she didn't need to prove that she was better
17Bikini girl's voice was just ok to me. Who knew Kara could sing? I guess I have to do my homework on her.

19I think the high five was just an innocent mistake. How many people, especially those who do that on a regular basis, would really stop and think about doing something like that when they were caught up in a rapport with someone they didn't know?
The Bikini Girl really was annoying.
20o god that high five was so cringy, ryan was mistakenly dim though, if he did it on purpose that would be so wrong but bless him, u could tell he realised immediately uh embarrassing! But with the girl in the bikini, those girl judges were so over the top, and b*tchy! The girl judge said it wasn't coz she was pretty but how nasty was she calling her a bikini b*tch....she was up her own arse and too into her looks which cant be fun but that was harsh to be so over the top mean to her.....and to be honest there wasn't a load of difference in how they sounded singing lol. plus so not keen on paula she's so werid and such a stirer....
21Did anyone else notice that at the beginning of the bikini girl clip the girl they showed had blonde hair and then all of sudden she was a brunette?
22Ani I totally saw that too. It's because there are multiple auditions before they actually get to Paula, Randy, Simon, and Kara, to weed out a lot of the contestants and are a few weeks apart I think. Someone I know was on the show (actually in a few clips last night, it was pretty funny) and explained it. I thought bikini girl was really obnoxious and was surprised her voice was pretty decent. I don't think she'd make it that far because a lot of people will probably be annoyed with her personality when it comes time for the public to vote, but then again maybe I'm wrong. I also thought it was hilarious that they were playing "I Kissed a Girl" when she went to kiss Ryan. That's totally going to be on the Soup this week.

25High five wasn't that awkward, considering that I'm sure you kinda become mindless after being with a bunch of people who "think" they sound great. Bikini... uhh girl was asking for it IMO. I was thinking that she wasn't too bad though, I might have actually taken her seriously if she came in with clothes.
26The bikini girl got on my nerves! She seemed like a cheap piece of you know what just walking in there wearing that bikini and then she kissed Ryan.

But, when the new judge started singing, it was pretty obvious that she was in fact playing the jealous older lady.

32That Bikini Girl was something else. Did she go to multiple auditions wearing the same bikini? She has a good voice, but she didn't nail that song - (a) she went flat at a lot of points and (b) she just stood there awkwardly and made us all feel awkward watching her too. But her gimmick worked ... it definitely helped to hide her lack of showmanship. I'm guessing that she can't wear a bikini throughout the contest though, so unless she can pull it together after this, her days are numbered.

36OK, I don't see how the bikini girl was awkward. Eye-roll worthy, yes, but not awkward. And not nearly as bad as poor Ryan trying to give the blind man a high five.
