Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Are Engaged!

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo announced their engagement today! The couple, who started dating in 2006, told Us Weekly, "we're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together."

Nick was formerly married to Jessica Simpson, which they documented on Newlyweds, though the two divorced in 2005 after three years as husband and wife. Nick and Vanessa took a short break from their relationship in 2009 but have been happily together ever since. Congratulations to Nick and Vanessa!

Wow, now he's going to be drug down in the gutters even more. Vanessa must have purposely not taken her birth control and now she's pregnant....Oh well.

I was at the same restaurant as them in Vancouver 3 or 4 months ago (which was pretty cool, haha) and they looked so happy and romantic throughout the meal - it's nice to hear that this is happening :)

As an expert on marriage proposals, I can tell you that Nick's laid-back beach engagement is a far cry from the showy yacht in Hawaii where he proposed to Jessica. It's a sign that their relationship isn't about the celebrity aspect, it's deeper than that.
