Another day, another skinny celebrity story. While Kate Hudson just won a case against a tabloid for calling her skin and bones, another is reporting that Nicole Richie collapsed at Kitson. We can only assume the fainting was due to lack of energy one obtains by eating food. The Scoop reports:

“She was looking through a rack of clothes when she suddenly fainted and hit the floor,” an “eyewitness” told the mag. “The staff helped her to a chair and offered her something to eat. She shot back, ‘No!’ and mumbled something about it being ‘so hot.’” Although Richie turned away food, she did accept a glass of water, reports the mag, and after about 20 minutes “was steady enough to leave.”

I wonder did she buy that cat that she's holding. If so she won't be able to pick it up much because she's so small.

Oh i think she's more like 80 lbs now if that..when she reaches 90 she'll be calling herself fat.

heh guys, what does a drug addict say? do they say they are using or do they say they are clean? what does an drunk say? do they say i can handle it or do they say "help". she has a medical issue. seriously how sick to you have to be to pass out and not see that it's related to the fact that you weigh 90 lbs? i'd be interested to hear the ex's take on her eating issues.

its jsut SOOOO annoying she tells people she eats "salty cheese-and-grease kind of stuff," and "I tried to put the weight on my way, eating burritos, but that wasn't working, ..." how stupid do you think we are??? really -

she definitely has an eating disorder - sorry, i dont think there is any chance she doesn't. shes had so many additions in her life and now this is her focus. she said in magazine she knows she is way too thin and shes trying to gain weight. YEAH RIGHT - than eat a cracker at least. sorry - but she's full of it. its just sad that all these preteen girls look up to her as a role model - parents have a challenge with a role model like that -

nicole_richie, I like her too, but she is without a doubt, too thin & would be far more attractive if she put on weight. Maybe her Hollywood friends don't see her as too thin, but IMO, she's pretty much the thinnest celeb out there now, she needs to follow LL's example (can't believe I just said that!) & get back to a curvier figure, not fat, but just 'healthy'. What do u guys think is harder to treat, anorexia or cocaine addiction? I've never had either, but I think they're both pretty drastic. Any thoughts?

Nicole may not have "rex", she's just skinny because that's the hollywood standard success. if ya want a fat*ss, you can find that any taco bell or dairy queen or britney spears house. no one around her is gonna offer advice or stage an intervention because all the girlfriends are as thin as she is.

If this is indeed true she needs to get help. But hasnt she been looking better lately? gaining a bit of weight?

I actually like Nicole because she had the sarcastic wit that made "The Simple Life" watchable. I hope she does get some help because clearly by looking at the pics she has an eating disorder. She also has had substance abuse problems in the past and looks like she relapsed back to cocaine. I find it hard to believe she fainted from the heat when everyone else was fine and she's only in and out of air conditioned cars and stores all day

I feel really bad about this. I kind of think that the tabloids have made entertainment out of watching this girl wither away. At first I was glad when they were reporting on it, and pointing it out. Now I just feel like she is going to drop dead while everyone watches, and says "I knew it!". I wish someone would get her some help! Her parents need to intervene.

It may have really been too hot but it's so hard not to specualte the fact that she is so skinny. I think she does have an eating disorder and I think she fainted because of that and to think her family doesnt think she has a problem. I really hope she does get professional help because I do like Nicole, she's a million times better than her ex-friend Paris!

I love Nicole. She was on a TV show, and she stole the show. She's pretty funny. I've passed out in an air conditioned building... in fact, twice in the same day... in 2 seperate air conditioned buildings! REALLY EMBARRASSING! It was about 100 degrees outside, I didn't eat breakfast and I went tanning... I passed out at the tanning salon, walked across the street to get juice from a chinese food place, and passed out there too. She's super skinny, and needs to eat though. But everyone she's around is super skinny as well. Her "people" probably tell her she looks good. Remember when everyone was calling her fat w/f-ed up hair not too long ago??

I know for a fact about the effects of cocaine has on your system. I did it. So I know what I used to look like at 95 lbs. And she definitely looks the same as I did.

i passed out once before when i was younger. it was due to having a low sugar level... basically not eating enough that day. and when i went to the hospital and the doc told me to eat, i ate. why would you say no? even if it was just from the heat. better safe than sorry. oh and i'm sure this is totally misskewed. nicole was probly like no no im alright and everyone took it as "she's anorexic she won't eat the food!"

I'm with you Samborasdoll, She totally has an eating disorder, it's very sad ... She'll be the next Terri Shrivo for sure ... A veggie in the hospital for years and years because no one reached out to save her skinny ass.

she could have at least accepted the food, it might have helped her story that she fainted from the heat. but i guess you don't think of those things when you have such a bad illness. i love nicole and i hope she gets better soon.
