Nicole Richie To Cop A Plea, Receive Sentence Today

Nicole's court date may have been pushed back until August 16th, but rumor has it that she will be there today to cop a plea. According to TMZ, Nicole will appear to plead either guilty or no contest to her DUI from back in December.

Apparently she will be sentenced on the spot and will serve a minimum of 5 days no matter what. If this is true and she does just serve those days, it will line up just perfectly with next week's interview with Diane Sawyer. Good timing, Nicole. Now at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I would just love for her to acknowledge the pregnancy rumors.

We'll be on top of it, so stay tuned to see what happens with this today.

I with Nyar on this one too - the jury even knew he did it and let him go free and he is leading a good life - it would seem as if Michael just pays his victims off and look at that one guy what's his name - old dude that killed his wife or had someone to do it for him - had people get up on the stand and say yes he wanted the wife dead - Robert Blake got off completely and everyone knew he was guilty! Now there is American justice at it's finest -

hi everyone!! tia, greggie, pink, nyara :WAVE:i heard tia about those guys that say LiLo too their car..ugh, i seriously don't care anymore..as for nicole, i saw it on the air as "breaking news" but there was less pomp and circumstance than with Paris' - homegirl better own up to her faults..part of me feels like she still has a brain.

If you go to tmz they have the videos :)Also on the news this morning was a convicted drunk driver who drove down the wrong side of the highway like Nicole did and he killed people. Of course, he lived (it always seems to work like that, the innocent are killed and those under the influence live). I think what she did was disgusting, I hope she gets the appropriate sentence, whatever it is...and then I wish Diane Sawyer wouldn't interview her and she would go away and get out of the media eye.

First off, they looked like "hot boxers"...and she hijacked them and took them on this crazy ride. They also said she was going 100 mph, and that when the police were arresting her she proclaimed "I'm a celebrity, I can't get in trouble"...can you say DELUSIONAL!!!

If she does in fact receive less than the 5-day minimum, I will feel entirely different about the whole thing.

no i think it is the same, i think with paris it was more like to teach a lesson to prove something, the media was so hungry i think if people hadnt paid too much attention or made press confrences she wouldve gotten the same as nicole 5 days, i think nicoles charges are worse and she is getting a lighter sentence, nut nicole isnt all over the place she is playing her cards right

maybe all that's transpired with lindsay over this past week has gotten nicole to realize she needs to face her troubles head on in order for her to move past everything and start fresh. this might be especially important if she is in fact pregnant. she can get her jail-time done and over with before the baby arrives and still have time to get prepared. i wish her the best and i really hope she is turning a new leaf.

I agree about OJ. I personally wouldn't apply it to this case. OJ's case was about a starstruck jury more than anything.
