Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were in high spirits when they caught a flight out of LAX yesterday. The pair had quite a journey ahead of them as they embarked on a trip to China. The Vampire Diaries stars spent their holiday weekend with family and friends and are now on their way to Asia for what's sure to be a memorable New Year's.
Nina made a stylish departure in a classic trench, reminding us that she's one of 2012's biggest breakout fashion stars. She's not the only one on our radar; as a couple, Nina and Ian ranked among the sexiest celebrity couples of the year. 2013 will be full of opportunities and red-carpet appearances for the couple, in addition to new episodes of The Vampire Diaries returning Jan. 17. Both Nina and Ian are also People's Choice Awards nominees. Nina could take home her second consecutive win in the favorite dramatic TV actress category, while Ian is looking for a win for favorite dramatic TV actor. We'll have to wait and see if they step out for the celebration on Jan. 9 as we kick off the 2013 award season.
