Oprah & Gayle Are Not Gay

But if they were they would be the first to admit it. Oprah finally addresses the gay rumors in this month's issue of O Magazine. Is this an attempt to raise newsstand sales of her magazine? Oprah talks about her close bond with Gayle and their 30 year friendship. She said she understands why people would think they were gay. Apparently they would have no problem telling the world if they were in a sexual relationship. Here are a few quotes from the article:

King said, "The truth is, if we were gay, we would tell you, because there's nothing wrong with being gay."

Says Winfrey: "Something about this relationship feels otherworldly to me, like it was designed by a power and a hand greater than my own. Whatever this friendship is, it's been a very fun ride."

Wonder what Stedman has to say about all of this?

WEll going by all the rumours in Star magazine and The Enquirer of her and Stedman breaking up and her fears of him releasing a tell all book of her, her closet eating, her relationship with King, yada yada this would be a great way to kill all that now and make him look like a liar would it not...but that is if any of those are true because it did come from the biggest GOSSIP magazines ever...not factual magazines..

misssixty, i think it's bc she's over 50, never married, is not against gay people, befriended tom cruise, appeared on THE ellen coming-out-of-closet show, seems to have a pretty platonic relationship with her man, and took her man back in spite of his cheating which is odd for such a strong woman...unless he's a beard. i don't think she's gay. if she were, SOMEONE would have said something by now (i.e. her huge staff at home and at work). also, i don't think she finds anything wrong with homosexuality. considering how much she's loved by older women everywhere, it could actual help her career.

Umm... not buying Oprah and Gayle have not been together...Stedman is the beard to Oprah as Katie is the beard to Tom Cruise. JMO.. still like Oprah..

This is just dumb. Why would anyone think they were gay just because they're best friends. Besides as loud (and i mean that in a good way, hey i like oprah) as O is, she would shout it from the rooftops and do a show on it.

Well I don't think I never tought she was gay or anythinf of that matter but know that people are talking about it I wouldn't be surprise because I've never seen her with a man!!! Anyway Oprah is Oprah no matter what...

I'm not really sure why they had to address this? Does it matter what sexual preference someone is? What matters is they are humans like all of us and in Oprahs case, she is a beautiful person as well as humanitarian. I respect her a great deal and admire her compassionate heart in helping others who need her support ... Who cares what she is.

they are friends. but hey since jake and lance and matt are gay with each other then oprah and gayle must be too right. since all people that hang with the same sex are gay. did you know that gwen and angelina are getting it on with each other while brad and gavin are experimenting with each other. hahaha not! funny though.

must be a slow news day if the can make a post. Oprah is a very wealthy woman and probably trusts very few so the fact that her and Gayle are still friends shows how great a woman Gayle is.

I think the rumor is being addressed both to clear out and also to bring Gail into the spotlight. I think she's getting ready to do something on TV. Wasn't there a rumor she was being considered to take over Star Jones' place in that crappy show, The View?

Its stupid cause it doesn't make sense they have been best friends for years now all of a sudden they are gay puhleese! As far as Tom Cruise he's suspect but never thought of him as gay. He also never just came out and said he's not. He just sues everyone who says he is.
