We're just a few steps away from the Kodak Theatre where the Oscars are held, here in Hollywood and Highland inside the Governors Ball. The Governors Ball is usually the first stop for Oscar attendees after the show wraps, and the producer of the party told us that this year she has pulled out all the stops. I say this to everybody. If I said to you, "Here's a plate of food." It's gonna take you 30 minutes to eat it. You've got 6 ounces of that, 8 ounces of that. Or if I say to you, "I'm gonna bring you 20 tastes of Wolfgang Puck." What are you gonna take? I'd go with the latter. Thank you. You know, a lot of sounds even as and is rich, yeah, they like comfort food. So we have a chicken pot pie or we have macaroni and cheese, everybody's favorite. Right. We have cimole lamb chops or the lobster from Chinois too with ginger and a little curry and crispy spinach. We have risotto with black truffles. We have tortellini with goat cheese and a little beads in it. We're going to have braised short ribs with polenta. So it goes on and on. Wolfgang has been the official chef for the Governors Ball for several years And this year while he'll be serving plenty of his standby recipes, he's also introducing some new dishes, including a 3D dessert. I think it's the first time we're going to eat in 3D We watch movies in 3D, we watch ball games in 3D, now we gonna have dessert in 3D. So are you actually going to pass out glasses to all the guests? Absolutely 3D dessert. Everybody gonna have glasses, including me. Don't I look cool with the glasses? I like them. They're very cool. I know. You look beautiful in 3D. something you could drink over the course of the night without feeling too overwhelmed. Moet & Chandon expects to pop about 1,000 bottles of champagne on Oscar night, and this year's signature cocktail is the Red Capet Glamor - it's champagne, botanical spirits, a little bit of sour mix, and it's garnished with a single rose petal. That's good, This year the designer of the official winners' envelopes for the Oscar's is sharing some of his designs in the form of party invitation on e-bite. Ten amazing invitations, all individually handcrafted just like this, including this one, immediately now sent for free to have your own Oscar party. Red, Think Red, Mark Held of Mark's Gardens did the florals for this year's Governor's Ball going with an all red theme, and he showed us how to recreate the oversize roses he made at home. It's not so complicated as it looks. You start with a rose and you. [xx] on a styrofoam ball, just glue it in the middle, and then you have to take rose pedals and kind of painstakingly glue them on one by one until you get to the size that you want and just dip it in a little hot glue and glue it and before you know it. The finished product is amazing. It's incredible. Now the last question is was it easy? Absolutely not. Of course. It was the hardest event I have ever produced. I have never worked so hard. Well, and it looks like it paid off. It's gorgeous. [music]
